hello all :-)
here is my new toy, a rev 6 (6.4 i think) Amiga 2000 with twin floppy drives.
Even though the Amiga had been opened before (seal broke) i can easily image that that was to fit the hard drive and no ones been in since!
The dust was so thick and untouched that i can image its been there since 1992.
Anyway first job was to strip the machine , check & remove the battery and see what if any damage or horrors await me!! ...well actually NONE! the batter held a charge 3.24v and had not leaked, no was it even starting to. Amazing anyway its out now and sat on my table.
The machine has the following spec and apart from being really filthy, its in brilliant , undamaged or molested condition.
Spec.
1mb chip ram
1mb fast ram
68000 cpu
Rev 6.4 mobs
Kickstart adaptor (presumably 1.3 & 2.04)
SCSI HD8 GVP card and a scsi hard drive (don't know how big yet)
2x floppy
keyboard and the wrong mouse (male fitting??)
Over all I'm very pleased. it really does look like new inside, i don't think anyone has been in it except to fit the hdd and it was cheap too.
mike.
