M-Tec 1230 (68030@42Mhz) Accelerator with 8Mb

I upgraded my A1200 with an Apollo 1240 accelerator, so now my M-Tec 1230 (Full 68030) @ 42Mhz with 8Mb fast ram is now surplus to my needs.

It is a great card for a WhdLoad machine. It has the 68882 FPU and 8Mb of fast ram (It does not take more than 8Mb).

The sale is for the card only. No box, manuals or software but it is a straight plug and play with no setup required. The battery probably needs replacing as it does not seem to hold the time.

Notes: The solder on the RTC battery clip is not very neat but it works and does not affect the card in any way.

Looking for 100 Euros including postage to Europe and paypal fees.

By the way, the card is fully working with NO known problems as I was using it up until less than a week ago.

Was hoping for PCMCIA friendliness, so I'll withdraw interest sorry.

Just to confirm.. This card is not PCMCIA friendly.

If the jumper is set at 4MB PCMCIA works perfectly with no problems.
If the jumper is set to 8MB then PCMCIA will be disabled (until it is set back to 4MB)

So in short, if you want to use the full 8MB that is no problem but the PCMCIA slot will be temporarily disabled. If you want to use PCMCIA then you can set the card via a single jumper to 4MB which is how i was using the card.

For a WHDload machine 4MB fast ram (not forgetting your 2MB chip ram) is more than enough which is why i kept the jumper setting at 4MB.

For other more intensive stuff (eg: OS3.9 or Doom) then you might want to jumper it to 8MB.

Remember that the memory simm included is 8MB, which via a jumper drops to 4MB.

Don't forget that although the maximum amount of RAM this card can take is 8MB you still have a full 68030 (with MMU) plus a 68882 FPU and this is the 42Mhz CPU and not the 28Mhz.
