A590 expansion - new and boxed
For sale is an A590, this is new (NOS) and in pristine condition, complete, including PSU (euro plug), all accessories and original packaging.
Looking for £69 + postage, buyer pays paypal fees.
Testing results:
Boot ROMs are v6.1. Fully populated with RAM chips to a maximum of 2 MB -RAM is tested working fine.
NO HDD is included, originally a WD 20MB HDD was installed but it doesn't seem to work, the HDD light comes up at boot, blinks a few times and I can hear the drive spinning, and can also hear the head seeking through the plates when the led is on. The HDD would put the package over 5kg anyway which would almost double the postage so it's NOT included.
Did try to test it with a recently manufactured HDD but the Prep program didn't recognize any drive attached, either because my drive was too new or because the "HDD Prep" program was specifically written to Western Digital drives (as it says on the driver disk) I'm not sure. Didn't have more time, so no further testing was done.
Has both IDE and 50 PIN SCSI interface for internal drives, and external SCSI connection also. All screws for mounting a HDD are included along with short IDE cable, power adapter, and grounding shield.
All manuals except the addendums are Danish language. Test and setup programs are English.
