Hi all, I have been looking for the last 10-15 years or so for a specific demo that I watched once many years ago. I tried to get it on the day but they had sold out at the pd place. Snce then I have searching hiband low for it. The problem is I don't know what it was called but I know who made it and what it looks like.
It was made by Stuart Keeley and it won a demo compo, i have included the one and only screen shot I have of it, if anyone can help I wound be a happy bunny.
It's very hard to search without some additional information, like the scene group, year of release, intended machine.
There was ~1300 groups and without knowing at least the location of the author it's very hard to find.
That in an universe of >10k demos for the Amiga!
You understand now why I have been searching for 10+ years, I finally got the snippet of information yesterday when I purchased the completed CU Amiga Magazine Library with all the suppliments and disks. It took several hours of reading through and I finally found the little article that I remembered from 1991 about the AT-AT walker demo and the clones of. This was one such clone.
It had the dinosaur walking down the side of the Amiga 2000/3000 and instead of firing lazers it chewed through a mouse or something.
I managed to see it run through once and have been looking for it ever since.

I found the following article, but I can't seem to find the actual demo. The name of the demo is "The Beast from the B2000". I'm certain I watched this demo at one point in the past.

It was the winner of the CU competition - I've just searched through the CU DVDs and found an article...
See CU Amiga December 1990 p151 :) and 153 - I am assuming that these are now out of copyright given that they are all over the net, but if it's a problem let me know and I'll remove the attachments.
Now to find the thing! Looks like it needs 2 disks, and was submitted on VHS as well... Hmmm...

......You guys ever use LinkedIn? I do, and it helps me with my work but also you can hunt down people - Jon Hare, Peter Moleyneux are on there which says it all.
Anyway there cannot be many Stuart Keeley's in the UK that completed a computer science degree back in the 1990s and now works for BskyB as an apps developer.

You probably can't access his full profile without an account and nor can I get his email address as I am too far removed from him but you can probably guess it or try writing to him.
EDIT - his skills and profile fit someone that could make an epic demo like that.
Where's Merlock Holmes when we need him? Probably polishing the lawgiver. :lol:
