A2000 + monitor + extras and accessories
I dug out my old A2000 recently to sell. Here's a description of all the items:
- Amiga 2000 - this is a B2000, I think motherboard V4.4. Upgraded to Kickstart 3.1 ROM. Two floppy drives, non-original 5.25" blanking plate. Damaged PSU.
- CSA Mega Midget Racer accelerator + RAM board. 68030 @ 33MHz, 68882 @ 50 MHz, 512K fast SRAM + 4MB RAM. Probably non-functional. Original 68000 also supplied.
- Commodore A2058 8MB Zorro II RAM expansion card
- Alfa Data AT-Bus 2008 Zorro II IDE controller card (without any additional RAM but including mounting plate - also included, a 730MB hard disk but no IDE cable)
- Commodore 1084 colour monitor (including the necessary A2000-to-SCART cable). This was the swivel-base version, I think, but it no longer has that base. It also has a mouse holder and copy arm holder stuck to either side.
- A2000 keyboard
- Release 2 ROM upgrade kit (there's an old ROM in this box, forgot to check if it is the 2.04 upgrade, or the original 1.3)
- Release 3.1 upgrade manuals (this v40.68 ROM is installed)
- Commodore-Amiga hardware and ROM kernel (libraries & devices, includes & autodocs) reference manuals
- BSB book Mastering Amiga C
- 5 Abacus books, Amiga Machine Language, Amiga Disk Drives Inside & Out, Amiga Desktop Video Guide, Amiga C for Beginners, and Amiga C for Advanced Programmers
- Boxed software, including: Professional Page, Deluxe Paint III, CineMorph, VistaPro 3.0, Wordworth v3.1 and v6
- Games, including: Frontier - Elite II, Lemmings 2, Populous II, Nick Faldo's Championship Golf, Abandoned Places 2, Pit-Fighter, Space Invaders
- Collection of various Amiga magazines (Amiga Shopper, Amiga Format, CU Amiga, etc.) from 1991 to 1996
- Cover disks and CDs from the above
- A load of floppy disks and boxes for them, a special optical mouse mat (unfortunately can't find the mouse that went with this, nor the original Amiga mouse)
I tried to test the A2000, and it turned on, power LED lit up, PSU fan spun up, but no picture appeared on the monitor. Then there was a pop, smoke and a foul stench from the PSU of the A2000, so I turned it off immediately.
So regrettably I have to sell this as non-working.
I think that the monitor works, because it powered on (LEDs, slight hum), but again, can't be sure.
I am pretty sure that the Mega Midget Racer accelerator board is broken, as I recall breaking it 15 years ago or so by swapping the crystals for the 030 and 882 (hence probably the 030 is fried). Back then I reverted to the 68000 and it worked fine.
I have uploaded the maximum 10 pictures here, but you can see more (and in high resolution) here: http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/1522817/1/Amiga?h=172dc8
I would like to sell the whole lot as one, and it's collection only from Sheffield, UK.
£100.
Any questions I'll do my best to answer, but please note I'm not in Sheffield myself (it's at my folks' house), hence I can't answer any queries that require me to go and physically look at or do something with it.
