Amiga 500 boxed with A590 hardrive, Kickstart 3.1 rom, KCS power PC card and dust cover

I am having a big clear out at the moment. Here we have the last of my Amiga 500's. This A500 comes in its original box and includes all the original polystyrene inserts as can be seen in the photo. Internally the A500 has a KCS Power PC board fitted which allows you to use PC software on the Amiga as if it was a real PC. It also adds extra memory to your Amiga. I used this to run AutoCad when I was at university in 1991. At the time it was faster than the Universities 286 and 386 PC's. To finish off the package I have included an A590 hard drive. This is currently fully populated with memory and also has a SCSI hard drive fitted.

I reformatted the Hard drive and re-installed workbench 3.1 today and had great fun playing floppy games on it, 5 hours in total. I ran sound from the phono sockets into my HiFi and the sound is still working too. The hard drive is partitioned to DH0 running workbench 3.1, DH1 as a scratch disc and KCS which is setup to be the KCS boards PC drive. The PC partition will need DOS installing to it.

I have installed all the KCS utilities to the DH0 partition so you should be pretty much ready to go.

The Amiga also benefits from having a RAM switch located in the trap door. This allows you to switch some of the fast ram located on the KCS board to be CHIP ram. This is the configuration shown on the screen grab.

As I am sure you can appreciate this is a really nice system. Please note, the scsi hard drive is now over 20 years old so I cannot guarantee how long it will work for but it should be a good start for someone.

After checking with my other half who ships electronics worldwide it seems new legislation which has just come in for shipping electronic goods into the U.S would make it impossible to send this to the U.S as it would likely be rejected by U.S customs. This problem would be compounded by their insistance to Xray equipment which would possibly wipe the hard drive and the insistance to open the equipment. Sorry.

OK. Just thought about it over the night an decided that i'm interested pending some answers :D

1) how big is the Hard disk that is installed at the moment?
2) how much postage to Greece?
3) how much postage to London (UK)?
4) which rom versions are installed?


There could be a possibility that a friend of mine that lives in MaDchester :D could also collect but i'll have to confirm with him first.

so your questions.
1) the hard drive is 40Mb
2) The whole package will cost about £82 posted to Greece
3) Uk postage would work out at about £27 with insured delivery
4) It has kickstart 3.1 fitted

By far the easiest and cheapest and best option is to arrange for me to meet your mate from MaDchester :-) that way he can see it all working and then arrange for you to collect it off him. The actual hard drive unit itself is the heaviest part of this. The postage costs would drop if I removed the hard drive.
