A1200, Blizzard 1230, 32MB RAM, 2GB CF Drive, PCMCIA CD ROM etc.
The time has come to sell one of my Amiga 1200s. This one is arguably in better condition than the one I am keeping, but that one was a gift many years ago so it stays!;)
So what am I selling:
An A1200 that is in very good shape, some scratches and marks to the bottom of the case and also to the leading edge of the keyboard, but no yellowing to the case, and if I'm being really fussy, perhaps a tiny trace of yellowing to some of the keys, but this is minimal.
You may also notiuce from the photos that the trapdoor cover has a fan attached. I found this means you can keep the Blizzard reasonably cool and still leave the cover on. The fan is only running at 5 volts, so if you're handy with a soldering iron you could give it the full 12 volts. In the process of fitting a bit of a mess was made on the trap door, but a slightly larger fan would cover my error in judgement  I have added a fan header to the end of the power lead so you can just unplug the fan and add another.
It has a Blizzard 1230/50 Mk.III installed complete with 32MB of Fast RAM. It also has a 2GB CF card as the hard drive and a fresh instal of ScalOS 1.2. I have forgotten may things, including how to setup an Amiga OS, so it is for you to customise!
I have recently replaced the floppy drive as the original died.
You will also get a 2x speed PCMCIA CD-ROM drive and the PCMCIA Cable. I can't let the power lead go as that is for my monitor, so all it will need is a 12v supply, mine was rated at 5 amps. The CD drive for some reason doesn't run in the OS, might be the way I have it set up, but it opens and closes fine and you can hear it whirr when the disc goes in - perhaps a new driver will sort it?
I will also include a joystrick, mouse and 3 games, and obviously the PSU.
So to sum up:
A1200 and PSU (PSU not pictured)
Phase 5 Blizzard 1230/50 with 32MB RAM
2GB CF Drive as HDD
Replaced floppy drive
PCMCIA CD-ROM drive and lead (perhaps faulty - see above & no PSU)
Joystick
Mouse
3 Games - Battle Valley (manual AWOL), ISHAR: Messengers of Doom and the ubiquitos Frontier: Elite II (missing star Chart).
This is a cracking set up and is pretty much ready to go, sad to see it go, but have a few projects on the go and have no time for the 1200 right now. When I do, I'll pimp the one I'm keeping, but until then this one must go
This can be all yours for £270 including UK delivery (fully insured) or can be collected locally for £260 following a demonstration. Overseas postage will be more due to weight and insurance, but please enquire and I'll see what I can do!
Feel free to ask any questions! If you would like pictures of the CD drive, games or joysticks etc, please let me know!
TTFN
