Although it took a little while :shhh: I have received the package with the cable. Thank you!

I still haven't received mine by the way. Is it so long to cross the Alps?
:interested:
I wanted to declare an interest but I am not sure if they are still available.
Waiting for response on my pm.
Still waiting for the tracking code.
Hi Oge,
No response to PMs for a while - could you confirm if you have sent the white RGB cable?
I still have the incorrect standard one that I received three weeks ago, waiting to send back as requested once the white one arrives.
In the mean time I have ordered an Indy Mk2 from Amigakit so this is going to be slightly unnecessary now in any case.
Could you let me have an update though?
Cheers
C.
I would also like to know: i haven't received my cable so far.
You probably don't need to worry, my cable took almost a month to arrive. :-/ Great cable though.
My cable was at first lost in mail.
Oge sent me another one, wich I got about a week ago.
Works great on my 46 inch LG lcd-tv :)
Gave feedback +1
Thanks Oge :)
Mine was also supposed to be lost in mail. I bought it on the 14th of September.
10 days ago he said he'd posted one, but I'm still waiting for it.
I don't think he has tracking, which would probably give me a bit of peace of mind.
It usually takes me less time to buy things from China
@All
Ok - I've heard enough.
I'll PM/Email Oge and ask him to update this thread ASAP.
Dave G
I ordered mine in the middle of august :-(
The first was lost in the post (acording to Oge) and I am still waiting for a new (even transferred ekstra money for postage).
I really need the cable so I have PM'ed Oge and asked for my money back - if he has'nt posted it - so that I can buy another/or a Indivision.
I am sure the cables are great :-) and that Oge is a standup guy ... but fast is not a word I would use to describe this proces ....
Have a bit of patience and you'll be satisfied. Making one requires two hours and I'm having more requests than I thought.
Furthermore I'm making Royal ones with a Cable which has each of the three RGB lines separately grounded, which makes the process more slow. I don't want to hurry the preparation of each Cable and lower their quality, but I'm working hard on making them all. Everyone of you will receive them soon and you will be satisfied :)
Cheers,
Oge
@Oge
Thank you for the update.
Please try and update this thread more frequently.
Dave G
Thank you Oge.
I too prefer quality over speed.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
What about mine? It has been shipped more than 3 weeks ago according to your last PM and i paid for it in the early days of september.
Declaring interest. Sending PM.
Parcel received in Australia after just 1 month.
Not bad regarding the distance : it is usually the same time for anything else I buy around the world. Hehe.
By the way: great packaging, thanks mate !
Products look fantastic although cable looks a bit yellowed (it was white limited edition).
I will definitely send positive feedback as soon I give them a try (tonight).
Positive feedback left. All good mate.
Declaring interest in one white gold heavy duty (not yellow or black) limited edition scart cable.
PM sent.
Positive feedback released to Rakeim132 as well. Thank you. Sent PMs to Xanxi, HeZoR and Dude77. :)
And good news: found some new DB23 connectors! Gold-Plated ones are finishing.
Cheers,
Oge
Oge, do you have an order list of the users that you still didn't sent the cables?
That would be nice to publish here, for each one of us to know where are we in that list, and not keep asking the same questions ;)
Any news or updates yet?
Payment sent and PM sent.
Hi Oge, little question regarding the DB23 cases.
I wonder if both of my cables are not made with DB23 plugs installed in DB25 cases.
What I see is the DB23 holes do not match with the case holes and therefore we can't put any screws to secure the DB23 plug on the Amiga. This is not very nice, I think.
:wooha:
You cable is the black "normal" one or the special white ?
I really hope that my special one will arrive with a "Golden DB23 Connector".
If soo I'm not interested in a DB25->DB23 adapted connector.
EDIT:
I just noticed you bought the white special one, and already you did complain that the cable was not really white.
Now you are saying that the DB23 is in reallity and adapted DB25???? Is that what you are saying?
jvidia: the product is nice. The white cable was not pure white on one of my cable but I don't think it is really a problem, it's just that I'm a bit fussy for those things. But this color issue is really nothing, it may just be because it was the end or the beginning of the roll...
For the DB23, I did not remember that Oge clearly specified the DB23 to be golden plated. For me it is ONLY the SCART which was supposed to be golden plated, and indeed it is.
However, I'm asking more information about the DB23 plug because it is obvious that no screw can be mounted to fix the plug properly on the Amiga (as I always did).
I DO NOT SAY that the cable doesn't work : it works great !
----------
Edit: I did not want to create any issue with this thread, sorry if my question / comments are understood in a wrong way.
I just looked at http://www.amibay.com/showpost.php?p...8&postcount=63 and the photo is EXACTLY what you will receive, so nothing to complain about an the cable works well. I just say that Oge should mention the fact that the DB23 plug has no screw and that even if you buy screws you will probably not be able to mount them without re-drilling the metal plate itself (good luck!).
The problem here is to actually get a cable at all. At least that is my issue now! XD!!
jvidia: the DB23 metal part is a DB23 and fits with the Amiga DB23 video output, no problem.
The problem is with the plastic case AROUND the DB23. The DB23 is a bit lose in it, which makes me wonder if the grey plastic case is not, in fact, a DB25 case... You will NOT need any adaptor to use the cable! ;)
I can't put a picture because I'm away from my Amigas at the moment (overseas), otherwise I would put one on this thread to explain.
Oge, sent you PM regarding payment of cable.
@Rakeim132: got the idea. thanks.
jvidia: I see...
Well, none of my DB23 look Golden Plated (or someone should explain what this term really means) BUT they look exactly like the picture of post #63 on this thread, which is the usual green/yellow of these plugs (is that what Oge calls "Golden" ???... he did not write "Gold Plated" for the DB23... ).
I wil NOT comment on this thread anymore. I just wait for Oge answer to my question. I left a positive feedback to him and I'll keep it, for sure. No worry!
@All
There are currently 136 posts on this thread.
I've no idea of how many of those are statements of interest with payment made and goods not received yet and I don't intend to sift through this thread to find out.
But what I can do is to assist to create a list of outstanding cables.
So can I ask all OPs that have placed an order and made payment to Oge within this thread to post the quantity ordered and date that payment was made.
I will then add the details to this post so that we and Oge can manage it better.
Please be aware that once you have posted and I've added you to the list your post will be moderated out so that the thread doesn't get more cluttered.
Thanks, Dave G

Yes, the DB23 Connector used for the Royal Cables (both Black and White editions) is a Golden-Plated one. And please don't make confusion: clearly it is a genuine one.Quote:

It has to be said that using screws in order to lock the Cable onto the Amiga is not needed as the Connector itself fits perfectly. You can even lift up your Amiga: it simply won't move at all. Not to count the fact that the casing was the only one available at the moment and DB23 Connectors are rare themselves... Let's figure out related cases.Quote:

Howewer your suggestions were considered. After a lot of search, I've been able to find some casings which has holes with screws.
As viewable they fits perfectly. Notice that the quantity is limited and I don't advise using screws.

I've decided to add more informations for you AmiBayers.

This one is the Royal Silver Cable, available for both Black and White editions. For the moment it is not for sale: I'm preparing a bunch of these to the ones who are waiting more than expected as a "Thank You" for their patience. I will made the Royal Silver available for sale later, when the current Cables will be received :)

In the meanwhile consider that "Tracked Shipment" is available by request.
Cheers,
Oge
Oge: thanks for your reply. I understand the situation and the fact that you can use only what is available to you to build your cables.
However, I would appreciate to have the opportunity to buy from you a couple of DB23 casing that can accept screws: if you don't mind I'd like to be the one deciding if yes or no I need these screws. ;)
... but I guess we should discuss the case in PM now.
After more than a month waiting for this, I hope I get one of those silver ones, to be honest. And some tracking would be really good too.
PM sent for silver royal gold white cable please!
Any kind of specific update for those who have been waiting long term would be appreciated - It would be nice to know we are still on the list somewhere?
Cheers.
Just sent Oge a PM since the cable (the 2nd one he sends) has definitely lost in the post.
Shipped several Cables today. PM me so I will be able to check for yours, CrazyC.
Other updates:
- Slightly improved LCDFIX modification
- Only X3 Amiga Heavy Duty Royal Cables (White Edition) available as I write:
http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/8...bshowwhite.jpg
- More GND pins for Amiga Heavy Duty Royal Cable (Black Edition)
- In the search of particular SCART Connectors for the upcoming Silver Edition
Cheers,
Oge
PM sent as requested.
Ok, so after 2 days waiting for a reply, I think it is time to write this. I paid for a cable around the 14th of September. Oge has supposedly already sent 3 cables, none of them have arrived. I think this goes beyond the reasonable and I'm wondering if other members are having the same trouble getting their cables and communicating with him.
Yeah i paid earlier than that in september. A cable has been shipped twice but i still haven't received anything. I'm thinking about starting a Paypal claim before it is too late for that, as this hasn't been sorted out here.
Me too, although I've been waiting for so long I really would like to get it!
So, what should we do now, mods?
