Does a Fast ATA MK4 fit between Amiga 1200 motherboard and a GREX-1200?
Any other tips about installing this bad boy?

...I still think I need some explanation before I can feel confident about installing this! Seems kind of complex.
No it does not as the bridge board will touch, you can try rom risers but then the FastATA might not fit under the Mediator.
Suggest you use SCSI if you BPPC has it with a SCSI-IDE adapter and then a normal 4way IDE for your CDROM :)
Or finally IDEFix Express which is what I will be using with that combination since my other BPPC does not have SCSI :cool:

Agh, same old story. Order something, find out its not compatible with my stuff, figure something out.
Well, looks like my desktop A1200 will then soon find it has it. If it fits there, that is :D
Any tips for that? No mediator or grex on that one... And I think scummvm and Full Throttle needs more ide speed to work flawlessly ;)
edit: Wait... What do you mean about rom risers? I don´t think I will ever get a mediator so that would not be a problem.
i have rom risers under a mediator with a fastata and it fits ok,the grex is a different kettle of fish because of a daughter board but..........
if rom risers helps clear the daughter board you would be in the clear,well as long as you insulate the two cards anyway.
What kind of riser specifically should I be looking for and where from? Dunno if it matters but I have an Infinitiv tower (and ppc250MHz) that would be the primary setup where I would try installing this... Secondary would be just a desktop Amiga 1200 with 1260

Would I raise the grex itself with these to make more clearance between motherboard and grex or is the idea something else?
Wait: You mean I should raise the Fast ata so its actually on top of GREX? I guess that makes much more sense :D
Risers won't help for G-Rex 1200, no idea for Mediator.
they are for your 3.1 roms and you need 2
if you have no mediator you wont need them
