Or Swap, Amiga A1200 Power Tower

Hi Guys,

Well here it is.....My beloved A1200 Tower, its taken some time to get this together. However I need new parts for my PC and PC Engine so something has to go....

I will start with the fault......The only thing wrong with her is the keyboard adapter doesn't work. I have plugged the ribbon from the A1200 desktop in and the machine works fine but the adapter in the case will only see half the keyboard so I am pretty sure that is what the problem is, either that or I have two dead keyboards.

Now on to the unit. Although I haven't shown her powered She is in great working condition once a keyboard is attached. I have a mouse, power cabels and a Commodore 1080 Stereo Amiga monitor. There is a HD fitted and a DVD-RW.

It has one of the double IDE connectors which has both 3.5 and 2.5 ports.

I have also just fitted a new set of 3.1 Roms (well new to me I got them from a website not the other bay about 3 months ago_).

Other than that I have done nothing else with it. The machine was installed into the Case about 2 months back as I took my A1200 desktop and converted it into this case. So I know its all working apart from the dodgey Keyboard adapter.

I just don't have the money to spend to build her into the machine she should be.

There is a scratch down one side of the case and the rear has some strange patterning, However I know that the machine has never been water damaged or around damp, so I have no idea how the markings came to be.

There is also a couple of boxes of other Amiga stuff like PSU's, a Squirrel Controller and SCSI External CD-ROM Drive (not known of working status of this as I haven't used either the squirrel or the drive) External Floppy drives (missing the front bezal) another keyboard controller but the solder needs to be repaired, again I just cant find the pinouts for it, The 1080 Monitor and a stack of Floppies and Some CD's.

I would like to get around £90 OVNO + Postage and Packing for her, and all the goodies I would rather not split the lot up if possible. However she is very heavy and mabe a pickup would be better, so this is a UK ONLY sale - sorry guys but I know its going to be expensive to send out.

The whole reason for selling this has changed, our car needs lots of work doing and you got it.....the miggy needs to go to cover some of the cost.

Its a real shame no-one is interested. Will keep it available until the next free listing weekend on the otherbay.

Remember there is a good stack of stuff here, the tower has its own PSU and is in pretty good condition really.

Due to unforseen circumstances, I sadly have to re-start the thread and ask if austinsom is still interested.

If not then she will be back up for grabs...

Trust me she is a good piece if you want to get a keyboard controller for her. I know the Motherboard and everything works 100% as I have only just installed it but sadly my keyboard controller doesn't work. Plug a normal KB back in and she works a treat so its a really easy fix.


I just don't have the cash to continue with the project.
