Well here i have a DCE Scandoubler/FlickerFixer for all A1200 users out there

Board was pulled out working from my A1200 which i (sadly) dont have (but i will have another one soon i hope :thumbsup: . I just cant live without a A1200!!!)

I have a question about the scan-doubler. Where does this item fit into a desktop Amiga 1200?

The expansion slot in the trapdoor at the bottom of my A1200 is already being used with an accelerator card. Does this item go there, or can it co-exist with my card?

The larger square PCB clips over the top of the AGA LISA chip and the flat cable feeds outwards towards the back of the A1200 where it plugs into the little daughterboard which plugs into your 23 Pin Video Port and has a VGA 15Pin socket ready for a VGA monitor.

An excellent scandoubler FlickerFixer, I have one myself in one of my A1200's.
Important notes...

1) you have to use the daughterboard as this feeds the H + V SYNC signals to the man board for processing. there is an alternative method involving hackery but the daughterboard supplied is quite neat and easy to install & remove.

2) It is a 16Bit Scandoubler, It will display all AGA modes albeit with 16Bit Colour Max. Copper effects can show some banding, personally - It's very easy to live with and still better than a 1084 or TV, perfect for games as it retains the 50Hz scrolling mode.

3) It is recomended you use a CRT VGA monitor as these can sync down to 50Hz frame rate most LCD's (but not all) have 56Hz Max and will NOT sync (in PAL 50Hz mode). To be honest this scandoubler was designed to be used with a CRT device as indeed all Amiga's, and a CRT will give the best results.

Yes...you shuld better use it in a CRT monitor. The device was built in 1996 (it says in the back of the card along with "DCE - Thomas Delbert", his "creator" or "developer"?) and is damn good, but i need money to solve some financial situation over here...

Yes, it can co exist with your current setup perfectly. It is a very small device and it wont interfere anything you mention!
