really nobody sells 1260 :cry:
They pop here from time to time, mate.
Look on a 2-days basis on the Amiga hardware for sale section. Hardly a month without one for sale.

Not just the 060, mate!
To upgrade the 040 to 060 the guy who work on the board need:
- A proper voltage regulator to make the +5V to 3.3V (not hard to make or buy);
- A ROM upgrade. The old ROM must be taken out and new burned unit soldered in place with the proper content. This is also not much hard to do;
- The hard part is de-solder the 040 from the board: must be made using a desolder pistol or from an equipped technician.
Ex-Collector thank you for your proposal but I just want a card blizzard 1260 :roll: . Rkauer also thank you for this additional information :thanks:
Still no blizzards 1260 to sell? :bowdown:
@ dolphin_fr
Of course it's your choice to have a genuine Blizzard 1260, but with an Apollo 1260/1240, but you stand a better chance of acquiring one & more so of an Apollo 040 than an 060.
If you search eBay for "Apollo 1240 - 1260 upgrade kit", a guy in Sweden has at least one for sale & at a very respectable price. You'll have to act fast though.
Try & find a card with 2 x Memory slots too. Then you can fit 64Mb in 2 x 32Mb simms. :thumbsup:
Good luck,

does it have to be a blizzard? how about a genuine apollo 1260 @ 50mhz?
or do you need the blizzards scsi?
cheers, JuvUK
@ JuvUK
The Blizzard 1260 SCSI kit is an add on affair, where as on the Blizzard PPC 603e+, it was the only version with SCSI on the accelerator card itself. :thumbsup:
@ All
If SCSI is on the wanted list, it will be a harder job finding a Blizzard 060 solution & may require some patience.
If only 060 is required, dolphin_fr is better off considering an 040 Apollo & getting the linked 060 upgrade kit pdq.

Does your apollo 1260 @ 50mhz runs cool inside a desktop A1200 without extra cooling?
