Wow Mart - you're going to be busy!:thumbsup:
I think you'll need to register your Hyperion games and get updated installers for OS4.1 though.
Have fun!
Steve.

I was in town today so did a bit of shopping:) seen as I'm getting a Indivision ECS and A604 Memory Expansion from Amigakit. Thought I would get prepared for removing the RF Modulator thankfully there's a couple of good guilds on here to keep me right  ps the soldering wick is in the post.
A while back, I posted news of my new Amiga, courtesy of a friend who knew I'd get more enjoyment out of it.

Well, I only just got the power supply at the weekend, and had the opportunity to switch it on today.
After a couple of games of Pinball Dreams, Archer MacLean's Pool and Lemmings (which my kids loved by the way!), I loaded into the Workbench disk to have a play around with the speech synthesizer (like the good old days!).
I happened to glance at the chipmem in the title bar - 2 megs!!!
So, what does this mean? There is a card in the trapdoor slot, which I had assumed was the extra 512 for the A500 Plus, but it seems not.
Any ideas?
Either way, A nice wee surprise!

The A500+ comes with 1MB as standard (soldered onto the motherboard), if you have a ram expansion in there its likely to be another meg, making 2MB in total.
Oh, have you removed the battery from it?
Not yet- I had the case open to have a look and there's no damage, but I do intend to get shot of it.
I had heard that it was a simple case of snipping the pins, but it seems a bit more awkward than that.
I'll have another look at the various hints and tips on here before I have another look...
Cheers!

@Chris: no mate.
You are confusing the A500+ (which ALWAYS have 1Mb soldered to the board) with the normal A500 (latest revisions 6 & 8 ).
Both revision 6 (when using a 8372 Agnus) or revision 8 (in fact a half-made A500+) can have 1Mb of chip RAM soldering the missing chips.
The butchered (A500 and not A500+) Rev8 boards are the ones with the right Agnus (8372), but missing
- the Denise of A500+
- the chips of 1MB (only 512KB soldered)
- the demux chip
- the clock battery
- the RTC chip plus components
If you change the Denise, and solder the remaining parts... you got yourself an A500+ :)
