Post here everytime you get something new!

Went on a litte trip for 4 x A1200 - all with HD's and the following accelerator cards:

Blizzard 1220/4 (4mb)
Blizzard 1220/4 upgraded to 8mb (soldering job)
Blizzard 1230 Mk-III (Ram seems to be maxed out, have not checked yet)
Blizzard 1230 Mk-IV (Ram seems to be maxed out, have not checked yet)

The stuff belonged to a senior citizen, who had used it for daily stuff and MIDI- from the filedates it looks like it has been used recently (in the 2000's) - somehow the stuff found it's way to a recycling station where the guy I bought it from took it from.

It got it a fair price :-) Picture attached..

Finally got my uIEC/SD and a C64/128->S-video cable.

Have put aside next Monday to get a pic of and arrange a replacement for a damaged capacitor on the 128's motherboard. Machine still works, so I'm going to spend the rest of that day really getting to know how it works and create my first interrupt routine :)

My trusty old pc needed a bit more spice, plus I got tired of XP so I bought myself Windows 7....

I bought a Wizard 3 Button mouse for my A4000D, I use one on the A4000T and it rox so thought Id get another :D

Nice one McVenco. Do bare in mind though that it's only a 32bit version so 2GB RAM max. :)

4gb is available in 32bit. But your gfx card removes 1gb leaving you with 3gb maximum.

Guys, it says 64bit version on McVencos DVD :lol:

Anyone here know about old Tellys?

It's a sovereign sr17 apparently. I found it in a skip with the lead cut off, and after having a look inside I put a new one on and fired it up.

Surprisingly, no valves! All solid state. Black and white though.

On the to-do list is figure out why the volume slider is so sensitive. To low it just cuts out, then as you slide it up it very quickly becomes very loud. Too loud and it starts buzzing like mad.

The contrast dial is a bit funny too. When you turn it, the screen gets tons of interference which stops as soon as you do. Not a big bother and I dunno if that's normal?

Am I correct in guessing that the tuner/demodulator spits out regular composite and mono audio? I want to bypass it to make plugging stuff that doesn't have a modulator (dvd player) easier, but I'm scared of blowing it up accidentally feeding sound into where the video goes or something.

The sweeney looks dead good on it though:thumbsup:
