How graphics cards and other devices affect memory limits
Devices have to map their memory below 4 GB for compatibility with non-PAE-aware Windows releases. Therefore, if the system has 4GB of RAM, some of it is either disabled or is remapped above 4GB by the BIOS. If the memory is remapped, X64 Windows can use this memory. X86 client versions of Windows don’t support physical memory above the 4GB mark, so they can’t access these remapped regions. Any X64 Windows or X86 Server release can.

theres exactly enough to do 3.9999999999999GB
(1bit less than true 4GB)
and its not just ram and Gpu that has memory that uses up the address range.
also a 32bit Windows application wont use more than 2gb of ram unless you edit the boot ini file,
i forget what the switch is now but i think its " /3gb "
that will tell applications that they can use up to 3gb.
x64 os's have a Much much MUCH larger address range.
and i dont think you will ever really be able to max it out.

Not only ya GPU but ya sound card and anything else that needs memory, basicaly thers only 4Gig on a 32Bit OS and every thing has to fit in it
humm might do some research on that boot.ini file and the 3G thingy

after a little reading and not very much understanding it seems EasyBCD is an easy way to much around with this on win7 OS`s http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/
took me a while but found out I had to do some reading again
The BCD store is typically located at the \BOOT\BCD location on the boot partition. This partition may be hidden if it was automatically created during Windows 7 installation. If that's the case, you'll need to first manually assign it a drive letter from Computer Management | Disk Management (Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Computer Management | Disk Management) before being able to open it in EasyBCD

Well in my defense for the price of a used one i got a brand spanking new one, direct from Sony with a 1 year warranty.
Arrived at 8am this morning, hacked by 9am (usually quicker but no files to hand), playing Sega Games by 9:15am lol

I drove almost 400 miles (round trip) yesterday to pick this little thing up :)
Its got:
SAM440 Flex 733Mhz
1GB RAM
Radeon 9200 graphics (128MB RAM)
500GB Hard drive
SATA DVDRW
Amiga OS4.1 (update1 built into the CD, Update 2 installed, doing the others later).
The case is a bit weird, I cant figure out how to mount the optical drive and the PSU gets really really hot. I think its supposed to have a fan but I didnt get one. Im going to hunt for a 8CM fan and attach it or get a new PSU. Also, the i/o plate doesnt sit flush like a PC i/o plate does :blink:
EDIT: Ill be doing a first impressions thread and probably a follow on review at some point too :)
