got a purelamp led projector in the post today.
chose it because it had 20000Hrs lamp life "considerably more than any others i saw"
the next equivalent with the same native resolutions had 2000hrs lamp life + a free bulb. Which is still less than 1/4 of the stated lamp life.
here is a pic i found on google

1 thing to note is. 1300 Lumens is not very bright lol. (probably why the extended lamp life)
But Provided i use it at night it will be very useable for films. "the reason i bought it"
native res is 640x480 (most of the others were 320x240) says it suports 1024x768 but i had it up to 1280 x 768 with no issues when i was trying to configure it with CCC.
640x480 is the minimum im willing to have for a resolution for movies though as its pretty much the old school pal crt tv res.
Im happy with it.
came with a waranty too.
later when its dark i will try and take a picture of it projecting a film on the wall. "my wall is not the best thing to be used as a screen, but i over spent. so i dont have a snazzy screen"
"sorry for adding the price but it was a brand new can be bought from retailer price, not second hand or auction. so i thought that was allowed"
edit.
finaly got around to adding the pic.
this is at something like 1366x768 "or something" so i dont know why it said max res was 1024x768. It dosent seem to like wide screen resolutions though.
My wife also insists that i need to point out, That i have an awesome wife that gave me the ok to buy it.
Oh yeah.. I stuck an ipod nano to the wall with double sided tape so you can get an idea of the size of the viewing area..
EDIT
If the switch is in shape of a Coca-cola bottle it is easy to locate a replacement.
Might be a bit hard to swap the switches if you can't solder.
Got a new job :D yaaay
I got a Black & Decker Dustbuster FREE off Tesco for taking up pet insurance.
It is now clogged with the cats hair
EDIT
Just got sonic generations and sonic & sega all stars racing. Both very tight and enjoyable :)

I picked up two BBC computers yesterday. The Micro apparently had the power board removed and has some loose wires inside.

No idea what voltage the "Ram Disc" uses. Not going to have much use for a Teletext Adapter either :p
