Ahh C64 robocop 3, a cult classic!
Newest Everdrive arrived this morning. The N8 Nes version.
Purchased from Retrotowers as PCB only but came with a pre-printed label. I had a Super Off Road game that was hit and miss as to whether it loaded, even after replacing the 72 pin socket so that became my donor cart. Filed the SD slot, threw in an 8gb card and all is working well.
Only thing i'm disappointed about is how slow the music is in Jap/US roms & FDS roms. Pal roms run perfect but the romset i have doesn't contain that many PAL roms :(
You should review of it :)
Looking good :)
Soundtrack is fantastic on Robocop 3 by Jeroen Tel
My review so far of the Everdrive is its good, it works as expected. However my review for the NES is Pants
I've only tried a few games so far but nothing has grabbed my attention, not even the supposedly great Super Mario or Zelda... Tried Castlevania, seems like a fun title but still not grabbing my interest. I was hoping to try the Final Fantasy games but they are only available as NTSC US or Jap roms and sadly my PAL nes plays the game although its very slow and has a few graphical glitches :(
Won't give up hope just yet though, will try a few more games before final decision.
You could always pick up an NTSC NES. Don't most of your televisions there support PAL and NTSC? I'd be happy to find one for you if you decide to go that route.

Or you could disable the lockout chip... Super easy operation :)
Hey guys, all of my TV's do support both PAL & NTSC and i've already disabled the CIC lockout chip.
Most roms from all regions play fine, albeit with a little slower music & gameplay, but there are a few which have graphical glitches. Like Final Fantasy which when pressing to talk to someone on screen the bottom half of the text box is missing. Could be a bad rom so i'll have look for another version but both the US & Japanese roms do the same thing.
All PAL roms work at full speed and the audio plays fine, but US & Jap roms or Disk System roms are quite noticably slow, especially the audio.
As i said, i'm not giving up on the NES yet and will try some more games before making a final decision, but in all honesty i think the jury is still out on Nintendo machines for myself.
I have the NES now, nothing grabbing my attention, except maybe for crackout (arkanoid type game) which i did play for a little while.
I had the SNES, enjoyed a few games like Donkey Kong Country, Street Fighter, Pilot Wings but not much else got me very interested.
N64, only played Goldeneye and didn't enjoy it, i also find the controller to be quite awkward. Have enjoyed some multiplayer Mario Kart though. Would like to give this machine another try.
GameCube, only recently got this one so no fair opinion just yet.
Wii, Since new i've played it twice but my daughters enjoy it.
GB/GBA/GBC/GBA SP, have a few games but nothing majorly enjoyable other than Bust-A-Move.
NDS/3DS - Got it, installed an R4 card and loaded with emulators. Only thing i did quite enjoy were the professor leyton games.
I got NOS Vic paddles from Sinchai. :) Still in plastic.
Bought a cheap PCI card that has one IDE port. Now my Lightscribe burner rocks again! :)
