Any tips what tapes to look for or avoid? On a dutch adverts site I see a lot of TDK CDing tapes, are those any good?

May i suggest you avoid those? Noisy sunofaguns! If you could get yourself some (sealed) SA-X tapes, it would be awesome. Of course, opinions vary, but just saying that on the TDK front, those would be tops for Type II.
If cost is a matter, look for some Maxell XLII or XLII-S tapes instead.
Avoid CDing's they are terrible (I think D's are even better to be honest).
For any Hi-Fi grade stuff, TDK SA-90's are still very good and atleast 95% as good as any of the stupidly lol priced chromies/metals go for like the SA-X, MA and others.
I would reccommnend SA-90's as the best performance to price ratio these days and get as many as you can now because they are really going to be thin on the ground very soon indeed (and Maxell XL-II's though same quality, asking prices are usually more as they are probably rarer in new condition).
If ofcourse you can get MA's and higher SA's for a decent price do get them. A company called 'That's' also made nice chrome ferric's too but these will be old and if used, possibly damaged too.
Ive been looking forward to this arriving :)
Plugged it in and all is running great
This morning I popped into an animal charity shop and got my hands on a box with the following for the price of a big mac:
A500 with KS1.3 and 512K expansion, warranty sticker intact... Works! (NO PSU)
A500 C= Mouse
3 Quick Shot joysticks all working
A massive box full of floppies - Most pirate, some original, workbench disks and cover disks
Me very happy
Great! The last lot I have bought contained two A500 with warranty stickers intacts.
I have disassembled one of them... and it was a good idea. Everywhere onto the motherboard and the components, I have found a thick layer of dust really compact!
Well, me I have a new game to play! A GBA1000 motherboad, and some components!
Today, I have received a new parcel with processor, co-processor, Gals, FastmMen, etc!
Finally got my Nvidia Shield. All I can say is this thing rocks.
Replaced my tablet, gaming laptop (now stream from my pc instead) and it handles all of my emulator needs perfectly.

Yeah, just add any 360 pad compatible game to steam and it plays perfectly, can't see any lag, sound is great too. I'll do a vid later this weekend of games/emulators playing :-)
