did give it a bit of a test. little dissapointed the jog wheels arent touch sensitive. but the size and basic functions are just right for my needs.
i will say that i do get around the jog wheel lack of touch sensitivity by using the pause button. but would have preferd actuall touch sensitivity.

generally happy with it though. just 1 small complaint about the jog wheels.
some people wouldnt be happy with a lack of built in sound card but i knew that already and i did not need one with my set up.

Local Prisma had the Xbox 360 wireless wheel on clearance so I picked one up. :)
This is the horseshoe looking thing that you old in your hand and twist it in the air. I had let go of my Xbox 360 force feedback wheel in favor for a PC wheel. I still wanted a wheel for the 360 so I thought to give this a try. Based on a quick try it's not worse than the pad. Of course it's not like the ff wheel but definitely good value for the money.

Compaq Deskpro

Rescued this from the recycle center today. It's an early PC/XT clone with a 7.14MHz 8086, 640KB RAM, a 10MB hard disk, and a peculiar CGA/HGC combo card designed for use with a special Compaq-brand multisync monitor (which I'm gonna have to go back to see if they've still got tomorrow) - luckily, it can be configured to work with a normal CGA or MDA monitor. It's an absolute beast, larger and heavier than my 5150. Judging by the "PC Car Book" disk and the filthy internal condition, it was clearly operating in a garage somewhere, but it boots right up without a problem - the only issue is that the floppy drive doesn't work on account of desperately needing a cleaning. It's not remotely a museum piece, but it's a pretty neat find nonetheless :)

Still no remote --- But it works :D

Although somebody opened it (or tried to)
as there is a Gap and one of the Clips is Visible :roll:

A Shiny New ACA1232/40 from Amigakit.. no pic of the car, as its happily in my Escom 1200 1D4 and working fine so far.. without any timing fixes.

Korg DSS-1

I got this to replace my Korg DW-8000 - it's an enhanced version of the same digital waveforms → analog amplifiers/filters → digital delay architecture, only instead of getting only single-cycle waveforms from ROM, it's a full-fledged sampler (my first!) Only 256KW of 12-bit sample memory, but hey, there's a lot you can fit in there. The key action isn't as nice as the DW-8000's, but it's still pretty decent, and less clacky. Had to drive an hour to get it, but it was still much cheaper than shipping this beast!

(I passed "Nyquist Road" on the way there - what a coincidence! I presume you have to travel at least twice as fast as you need to be going on that route?)

Also got a Danecho delay pedal in trade for a PC tower case I didn't even like. Not a bad way to start the week!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought all Escom / AT A1200s wer rev 2 or above, and that all 1D4s were Commodore A1200s

Nope, my AmigaTech 1200 is a 1D4 too. :cool:
