I just scored a nice heavy IBM clicky-keyboard in a charity shop for £notmuch.
I'm not sure exactly which model it is, however, since it's lost its label underneath - but other than that (and blank keycaps where Esc and KP. should be) it's in really good condition. It has detachable AT-style cable, lovely noisy keys (all working!) and weighs significantly more than my laptop!

I can't believe my luck, it's a 2000 hour lamp so plenty left.
All I can say is it cost less than taking my kids to McDonald's.
Love the old IBM and more resently NMB clicker keyboards. They second for weapons:)

At the back of the warehouse, they had these huge pallets with thick cardboard containers on them, about 48"x48" with a height of 42".
One of these contained video, sound and other expansion cards (ISA, PCI) like modems, network cards, etc.
The hard work started there : going through everything in that container, sorting what interested me (sound cards) and throwing the rest in a temporary, second container.
In about 1 hour, we managed to look at maybe 90% of the contents. That took a lot less time than I expected, although I suspect that some nice items slipped through.

For those who have noticed, yes, all the metal plates were already gone at that point. The cards that were broken in the process I simply rejected, and kept those with at least functional audio connectors. That's why you see a couple of the DB15 ports missing (joystick port). If I really like or want to repair a card, I'll solder a new one in place.
Who thows out an AWE-32?! Shame there's no Gravis' or the even more thought-after Ad-Lib's (especially as they are from your hometown). I'l have to keep my ears on the round here if you sell any of them!
Well, having bought very little hardware wise for the last 12 months or so the last two weeks have been comparatively busy lol
First up, after searching for a nice example for nearly two years and one failed attempt to buy one from the states which arrived in 20 pieces... Iain very kindly fixed me up with a lovely SX64:

After the my three kids initial disappointment that it would not run Minecraft :huh: they have been having a blast on Turrican and IK+, been great watching them genuinely enjoy testing it out :D
Next up, I wanted a CRT for the Beast (I have a very troubling CRT addiction lol)... Merlin1968 very kindly sorted me with a lovely flat Iiyama that syncs down to 15khz so using the through port on the card it auto switches between the Picasso II for WBClassic high res and ECS for games and demos so chuffed to bits with that.. you are a true gent sir! Also upgraded Kickstart from 2.04 to 3.1 and added a hardware on/off switch to the Gtech 040 using the jumper Zetr0 mentioned in an old thread :D

On the way is an Indivision ECS for one of the A500s which has just had an ACA500 added and also coming from Canada is a new keyboard for my Pet which I'm determined to get up and running this summer!
Need to save some pennies for Retro Revival now so better calm down a bit :D
