welcome to the club Bagpuss the CDTV is a underrated piece of retro hardware in my opinion , but when upgraded I think its up there with the rest of our Golden oldies :)

I also bought this Kingston SSD after seeing it for a mad price on Dabs, will see how it goes after the terrible experience
I had with numerous OCZ ones I had.

The trick to getting OCZ SSD disk's stable is disabling power management for them in Windows so the disk is never turned off (under advanced settings in control panel).

I found this with one of their older 60gb drives, with power management on Windows would be corrupted within a week. I deduced the p.m. Was interrupting trim and once disabled the disk had never caused me any issues since.

Ps and that's with the latest fw that was supposed to solve the issue.

Today i got a sweeeeet gift from JohnIM. I recently got a C64 which i have fallen in love with and one of the games from my childhood that i have wanted to revisit was Frankenstein. Well at Retro Revival 2014 The Amibay table had a case full of C64 cassettes that John had collected and paid for on release. This is one of those games. honestly this game is just brilliant and im super chuffed playing it. here are some pics. :) :)

Told myself not to start collecting handhelds until next year, as i was kinda tired of hauling stuff home and to/from the postoffice all the time. And then this set crossed my eye. I knew two things for sure: that i wanted these, and that it wouldnt stop there with the handhelds. Bought 27 gameboys an hour later, and a mere 48 hours i've managed to struck deals for a lynx, a boxed Neo Geo Pocket Color and a boxed Wonderswan. Oh and potentiall deals on a game gear, a Pc engine GT and a Watara Supervision.

Seriously, it's the commodore collecting craze all over again. Or the atari one. Or sinclair one. Or Acorn. :picard
