welcome to the club Bagpuss the CDTV is a underrated piece of retro hardware in my opinion , but when upgraded I think its up there with the rest of our Golden oldies :)

The trick to getting OCZ SSD disk's stable is disabling power management for them in Windows so the disk is never turned off (under advanced settings in control panel).
I found this with one of their older 60gb drives, with power management on Windows would be corrupted within a week. I deduced the p.m. Was interrupting trim and once disabled the disk had never caused me any issues since.
Ps and that's with the latest fw that was supposed to solve the issue.
