Nice work! :)
I spent part of the evening pulling batteries from my new A4000. The one on the motherboard wasn't bad, but the one on the PC bridge was a nightmare! About 45 minutes of: clean, flux, (attempt to) de-solder, lather, rinse, repeat. Chip Quick was no help whatsoever, nor cranking the temp up (yikes!). But they are out now, and the initial cleaning is done (getting the battery gunk off of the boards). The board on the PC bridge has some damage, but it looks promising. The motherboard doesn't look bad at all.

Received a BigRam Plus via a sale on here, took me by surprise how large it was. Works great in the 4000.

Father Christmas brought me a Advanced Warfare Xbox Once Console (1 TB)!
Yay me, I must have been good last year
I love Taipei, sadly no Super A'Can but I have a lead on someone who potentially has some games
Ended up buying a Mega Jet to go with my Sega collection, wireless controller for my PC Engine machines (just 2 button controller), as well as a couple of Wonderswan and a Megadrive game for the price of a few pints of milk.... if only I could stay here

Ah a Mega Jet, nice! Great addition, totally jealous. Was it a good price? Think I might send you a shoppin list!
Sadly no, it was pretty much what I would expect full price to be but I wanted to show I was serious about the A'can games and couldn't afford the mint boxed virtual boy. Had a few unboxed ones and add on modules for the pioneer laserdisc. It was an Aladdin's cave if goodies. Sadly I had to look a couple of things up which I'd never heard of... I'll pm you his email address later. He speaks perfect English.
Got my amigakit a1200 external c.f. ide kit today, looks great and allowed me to put the hd chassis back in.

After moving out to California to be with family and start a new job, I realized that you can't get a decent used car for under $2k here (they pay more for absolutely trashed "project" cars than I've paid for viable mid-'90s beaters in Minnesota,) so I figured if I had to shell out significant money for one anyway, I might as well get one that's A. neat and B. possibly going to appreciate in value rather than depreciate. It's a 1971 Beetle with a 1.6L engine which was rebuilt two years and a paltry number of miles ago, plus a brake job and a large handful of other bits of restoration. It's still not a museum piece (the floor pans are going to have to be replaced in the near future,) but with a little TLC it could be a very nice car indeed, and I got it for $veryreasonable from a very nice couple this afternoon.
Now I just need to learn to drive a manual ;)
