So were you the one who won the auction at the other place? I had my eye on it, but opted for a T-Tech PCB milling machine instead (and yet another SX-64, it was too pretty to pass up).

I hang out at an engineering site and try to help out with Modbus questions. I was looking through the manual for a boiler for the Modbus map and setup instructions. When I got to that section, the manual had a QR code and a link to the "Secret Modbus Manual". I made sure to pass on what I thought of that stupid stunt to the manufacturer.
BTW, nice scope. I've had my eye out for one as well. Please let us know what you think of it (even start a new thread if you would).

Wowzers! Like I mentioned to Heather, I'm looking for a scope as well, but have no idea what to get. Any recommendations?
We have about five here at work, I plan on picking the brains of the BASF boys to see what they think. But we use ours for looking at paint, not solder joints.
A guy posted an ad on a local for sale site, whent to buy it all and what a haul.... My poor friend had to have the "left overs" on his lap, what you do not see is that he also has an A2000 & A3000 under his feet....

Will be nice to open it all but i am in the middle of a house move so that will have to wait, did not really want all this extra stuff to move but i could not let this pass me by.
Cheap 32GB card for the UK1541. A Finnish company had these for sale at 9.90€ inc. shipping.

We can start another thread if you like but picking this scope was a bit of a random gamble based on information from the manufacturer's site, Reviews on Amazon, and searching through Google. I was looking at a scope from the same company that cost $90 less than the one I purchased but I figured I could grow into the one I received more than I could with the lower level one.
From what I found online and from my limited use, AmScope offers high quality product for the price. One thing I really liked about this scope as opposed to the lower level one is the quad zone lighting on the LED ring. You can turn on or off each of the four sections of lights, letting you adjust the light level and shadows. :)
I just purchased the Canon SLR adapter so I can take pictures through the scope. I'll post some images once I have some.
