I've had a bunch of breadbox C64's for ages, years and years but not one single one of them worked. I had tried and tried to fix them myself. Swapping out chips from one to the other etc... but no luck.
I gave them all to a friend of mine who is fixing what he can in his spare time. Very nice of him :)
Anyway, on Friday he gave me my first one back and repaired :D
I have finally received and wired my GBS 8220 CGA/EGA/YUV to VGA converter board.
(using this article - http://www.retro-commodore.eu/2014/0...nverter-amiga/, my board has two VGA outputs, but otherwise seems to be the same)

Just received this. Couldn't turn it down for what it cost.

I used to have one when I was a kid and for the price i couldn't leave it.
so far I've installed an audio input for loading wav's so I could test the machine (I have no tapes).
Need to find a replacement tape counter too, the original is stuck and the reset button is snapped.
There's already a club, it's called the CPCWiki Forum :)
@Scrappysphinx : I think I still have replacement tape counters. They are not original parts, but close enough that they work fine. Send me a PM if you want one (Maybe I can throw in a CPC Tape too if you want to test the tapedeck).
Bryce.
Edit: Just checked. I have one last counter. This is what it looks like:
