I got two 27" 1440p ips monitors. works very well. I use a mac though. I considered 4k, but the price was too much and i like a wide workspace. I game on one of them (ps4).Quote:

Got a Commodore SR4190R calculator. The NiCd cells were corroded. One segment line is faulty. I hope it is fixable. Does anyone have experience fixing these? Any schematic available?

If you're lucky it's just a bad contact to the display. If you're unlucky the driver chip is damaged and replacing it is more or less impossibly.

all in all, not too bad, just not finding much in the way of vintage/retro stuff (although the LPs come close i guess)...there was a Dreamcast as well as a boxed Intellivoice module at one place, but they wanted a bit too much for them, also a Coleco Flashback for an 'ok' price, but I didn't bother (as I have a ColecoVision and an ADAM, and many carts...)

No VGA graphics card? No CGA Monitor? No way to connect a CGA GPU to a VGA modern monitor? No problem. This awesome adapter was made after 3 hours of soldering with a friend. Always nice to make solution with your hands :D I made this to test what I thought was a Graphics Card but ended up probably not being one my friend thinks. I think it looks way too similar to one to not be :/ Here is the adapter and the card!
Thing is I found an 1989-1992 Wyse modular PC at the junkyard but the ones that threw it out removed the PSU and the hard drives first. It uses PSU connectors I have never seen before. So I can't test it as a whole right now. I need to find atleast the volts it uses to handwire something like I did with the CGA adapter with other power supplies. I will include a picture if any of you know something about these power supplies.
As some other people are telling me maybe I got lucky and the adapter worked because the card I tested it on was a CGA and VGA card and it supported multisync. I have been told that on a CGA only Card it wouldn't work.
