I've been looking out for one of these for a very long time. Missed out on one on ebay becausemy phone never alerted me :( but arrived today! I had one as a child and its just something that meant everything to me. The shape and wheels just do it for me. Front wheel bearings are worn but randomly there's a brand new pair on ebay in France, who didnt know what they were from, till i told him heh. Needs new springs as a little brown looking. suspension, true 4 wheel drive with front end differential. it was amazing for its day.
I completely agree mate, such a fantastic machine. The 4wd makes a huge difference. I just need a good heavy duty set of rechargable AAs and charger. Glad to see someone else had one.

After a few tries I managed to get it to accept a kickstart disk and it boots quite happily.
It was pretty grubby and there's some yellowing, especially the back plate of the case. I've given it a good clean.

The chips are stacked three high! Am I right in thinking that plus the front expansion cartridge gives it a total of 1MB?
Next step is to make a keyboard adaptor so I can use an A2000 or A4000 keyboard with it.

Nice Amiga 1000. Too bad it came without a keyboard, as the original A1000 keyboards can be rare and expensive. I should know since I just got one off the other bay :) I think that is 1 meg chip yes, was looking into doing it to mine, but figured I will leave it as is, hopefully the ACA1000 will have some chip ram(?)
