Looks good Skellz, plenty of inputs.
Let us know how you get on with the Indivision on it :)
I shall, just been testing mega drive snes and nes. They all have different results, strangly the NES has the clearest picture?
MD has vertical lines up the screen (seems worst on sonic) but is nice and clear snes isnt too bad, colours seem a bit off.
Nes is lovely though, weird :)
Are you using rgb scart for the MD? That will give the best picture.
The TV says RGB when i turn the MD on, the SNES and NES say PAL when i turn it on
I get my 100/3mbps cable internet thus week + an apple airport express and an Engin VoIP phone service for the new house :)
I've finally been able to replace my dead netbook, and the new machine arrived today, along with some Commodore logo decals in order to give it a little bit of flair.

In spite of Microsoft's practice of requiring manufacturers to enable UEFI Secure Boot in order to make it difficult for users to install other OSes instead of Windows 8, this machine gave me the smoothest-by-far Xubuntu (still my Linux distro of choice) setup I've ever experienced. The one and only niggle was that it started up with the brightness set to 0 for no apparent reason, but that was easily rectified. It runs great - this machine is *a lot* speedier than the anaemic AMD Brazos-based machine that it's replacing.

Here's the lid, sporting the Commodore logo decal. If Escom and Commodore USA can stick a Commodore badge on a generic x86 box, so can I - and it probably holds more meaning coming from an old Commodore user, anyway, haha. (Actually, my first x86 box was a Commodore-branded Escom one. I wish I'd kept the case-badge from that thing, or could at least get a replica - it was neat.)
Got a few retro goodies today :)
Mr Postman must be saving them up again
I'm looking forward to trying out T2 with my SuperScope :ninja:
Update on the new tv, got my amiga back today from TC (thanks a lot for the fixes btw its running lovely)

Anyway, point of this is that the new tv seems to like the amiga
Looks great skellz, no more glitching?
Nope, was a tiny little amount on startup but it clears up now. Now if only i could find a pal mode than whdload likes...one that either doesnt cut of the top and bottom or put it in a little box in the middle lol...oh well one day jens

Good time to test the tester :)

Happy for you! You have ordered it outside from Amibay?
I don't see your name into the list of the thread of the A500 CF+ Ram.
Me I have ordered one A500 + CF + 8Mb and 2 video hybrid modules for my Gba1000. Kipper2K has sent them... and I don't know if I received one day. It seems that post has loosed the parcel.:censored:
Finalized my DIY diagnostics cartridge and dongles. I had spare cartridge, reset cartridge and cassette connector for this. Works great. Just found out one of my machines got a faulty SID. PotX and potY don't work from controller port. I'll replace it and the faulty SID is still good for dual SID (no use for pots).
Keyboard connector can be tested without keyboard dongle by pressing down keys W D M 8 DEL : UP_ARROW and RUN/STOP. Good for sealed units.

Ensoniq Mirage DMS-8
When it comes to samplers, I vastly prefer older gear with some grit and character to it to sterile modern stuff that tries to provide perfect fidelity with no coloration of the sound. The Mirage is a classic example of that lo-fi sampler sound, with a bonus of running the sound through programmable analog filters. The interface and architecture are rather archaic, but it sounds too nice for me to mind that much. I got a sweet deal on it since they weren't sure it was 100% working - turned out the only thing wrong with it was some minor chip creep, probably from however many years of operating in a rack with the only ventilation blocked by the next module up! Re-seated the socketed chips and it's happy as a clam now :)
Nice, wasn't Ensoniq the company bob yannes (father of the SID) started after he left Commodore?
Indeed it was. The Mirage was their first product; it contains the same DOC wavetable chip used in the Apple IIGS.
Two pieces of Final Cartridge III. Both had the same software versions.

This weekend will be filled with techno goodness! :D
Heather
That looks very cheap for such a scope. Let us know if it is any good. :)
Very nice Heather, why didn't you go for a mixed signal device? Especially with the type of electronics you seem to be concentrating on.
Bryce.
Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000m :)
when i quickly scrolled the screen i thought it was a heart/defib monitor
nice heather
It's a nice hobby level scope. I got the DS1052E 50MHz model hacked to DS1102E 100MHz model. At work I use scopes that cost half of my house :)
Because I don't know enough about scopes to know that I might need that. I asked another technically minded Amibayer (TheCorfiot) if it looked like it would fit my needs. He said yes, so I went for it. Really, it will kickstart me into learning about scopes and I'm sure I'll figure out what I need from there.
I know there's a 50MHz version of this scope that can be upgraded with a firmware patch to the 100MHz version that I purchased. I just didn't want to void my warranty right out of the box. :)
Heather
cant blame you really,100mhz is more than enough for most anyway heather.
are you going to do a review of some of the features of this oscilloscope in the future?:)
There are actually a ton of reviews about this particular scope that are most likely a million times better than anything I could put together with my limited knowledge. Still, I may do a review from a beginner's perspective once I've had some time to work with it. That may be valuable to others in my situation. :)
Exactly! The 100MHz version was previously hundreds of dollars more so it was worth getting the less expensive one to hack. I believe there is currently about a $70 difference between the models so I decided to go with the officially supported 100MHz model.

thanks to gunstar for the virtual boy game, much appreciated :-)
vectrex mutlicart was from retrotowers who did me a nice deal, its all cased up now and in the vectrex.
2 hyper neo geo boards (buriki one and samurai showdown), 3 dc games were from a fellow forum seller and a 32x .
So i achieved my aim in not bringing back more than i sold at least :-)
Snagged a fantastic 3DO bundle, surprised to find the 3DO itself is brand new :o

oh my giddy aunt - your 3do pile, amazing!
wish I hadnt passed mine on now, sniff.
amazing! :)
Postman brought these for me yesterday!
ACA500 and a classic Action Replay 3 for the Amiga 500. (Sadly I cant use them at the same time!)
I also have an ACA1232 so will be pimping my A500 up to a 68030 with 128mb today!
Incidentally, does anyone know if the stock A500 PSU will struggle to run this setup, should I hack a PC psu for the job?
