Was browsing fleabay earlier and noticed a local seller had the following Atari 2600 games going at a good price:

While at it I looked at the sellers other items and also picked up the following Spectrum 128 +2.
This is my first ever speccy so am looking forward to getting to know them. All I know so far is that it works fine with the Android TapDancer app for loading tapes!

Haha, I know. They've been friends of mine for years and I've worked there on and off for a long time. I run a Sunday gaming get together every fortnight, so if anyone's in the Aylesbury area from 20th July onward come down :)
Found a cheap Intervision 2001 (Emerson Arcadia 2001 clone sold in Switzerland and Finland).
Now I need one cartridge for a DIY multiROM cartridge.

Well it feels like a lifetime ago but actually was less than 2 weeks that I placed an order with Retro Innovations for an EasyFlash 3. I have been tracking it on it's journey around the USA before it boarded a plane to the UK and finally landed at the post office of my town in Lancashire!
First the postman brings me some bad news...
Attachment 72205
£18... seriously? The EF3 including the case and priority shipping only amounted to just over £55! £8 of it to the post office :censored:!
Ah well never mind, too excited to let that bother me so went straight to collect it this morning and here are the unboxing pictures!
Attachment 72206
They kindly added a breakdown of where they get the £18.xx from!
Attachment 72207
Well packaged:

And here it is, in my grubby little hands!
Attachment 72209
Now I just need to finish organizing my retro gaming setup so I can start playing with the thing!
Regards
The only places I know to get the EasyFlash 3 are Retro Innovations and Sinchai.de. Still, it's an amazing device and completely worth the price. :)
Enjoy it!

The two rivals arrived yesterday. :)

The Game Gear is straight from WoldemortBay and for the Lynx, TC kindly acted as liaison to get it for me as the seller would only ship to UK. Thanks, Bas! :)
The GG should be working but the Lynx is a fixer-upper. Both are externally in a neat condition. The GG came with a carrying bag but some of the bag materials have somewhat deteriorated and become sticky so that probably will go to the bin, unless someone desperately wants it. It can be had for postage.
Oh yeah, the picture doesn't tell the truth about the sheer size of them. I thought they'd be closer to size of a GBA but these fellas are BIG! I've held the Lynx MkI in my hands about 25 years ago but I didn't remember it to be this big as it is bigger than the MkII.
some new gaming stuff this week, Wave 4 for X-Wing came out (less than a month after the 'large' vessels were released, this is going to keep me broke...) and i picked up a few of the new ships (2 more large ships and a Rebel Aces pack should be out soon as well)
2x Z-95 Headhunters
1x E-Wing
1x TIE Defender
1x TIE Phantom
1x HWK-290 (which is an older ship that i hadn't picked up yet)
also
Marvel HeroClix Thor: The Dark World Starter Set, DC HeroClix Legion of Super Heroes Starter Game, DC HeroClix Hypertime Starter Set (mostly i needed maps and rules sets for the Marvel/DC Superheroes figures i picked up previously)
A copy of the newer version of the Dungeon! Boardgame (i have 2 copies of the early 80s version as well)
a Magic the Gathering 2014 Core Set Deck Builders Toolkit
2 figures from the '95/'96 Power of the Force Action Figures set, TIE Fighter Pilot and Leia in Boushh disguise(Bounty Hunter disguise from RotJ)
oh, and photos taken with my new Nexus 5 phone.
I've got a Nexus 5, too - it takes good pictures. It's actually better at this than my (since-retired) dedicated camera was, for some reason. Not surprisingly, it replaced it in short order. ;)
Anyhow, I received this in the post, today;
http://i.imgur.com/g1ryFfX.jpg
It's a piece of roughly 6"x6" Rupert Bear fabric that's more than a decade older than I am! It's for one of my rare non-plush-related sewing projects.
EDIT
With the sale of my Xbox One I decided I was gonna get myself a pc engine since I've wanted to try one for a while.
i was gonna grab a white one from Japan but found this grey core grafx with everdrive for around the same price in the UK.
no idea if there is any great difference between the white and grey models if anyone can shed any light?
White models don't have the AV out! You've got the right one!! With everdrive too!? amazin bargain!
Just picked up these two Amiga's cheap locally. I'm still at work so have not opened them or tried them out yet but took a quick look at the A500 plus and i'm 99% sure that it died a horrible death. The side expansion slot looks totally corroded (even the motherboard around it) with battery leakage as does the trap door expansion slot. The ports at the back also seem to have green around them.
Will open the plus when I get home and post some piccy's. Will try cleaning it up and powering it on too. A little project :) Yayy
That sounds excessive - if the battery could have caused corrosion at the expansion port, it sounds like it almost must have exploded or something? Looking forward to some pictures, and if it can't be saved, at least it can serve as a warning to other Amiga owners who have not yet removed the batteries from their 500+s, 4000s etc. Just to show how bad it can get. :)
Can't wait to open her up. This will probably need its own thread :P
On a side note, the A600 is in lovely condition. It's probably a later one as the rom is 37.350. The case and keys have absolutely no yellowing. The warranty seal is not broken and it still has the new clear plastic protection of the Commodore A600 badge.
Got two things today:
A 4MegGS RAM card for my Apple IIGS. You can get 4 MB or extra RAM on 4 1 MB 30 pin SIMMs.
A 15-pin joystick extension cable to be used as a monitor cable for the IIGS. The monitor jack in the IIGS is so recessed that you have to have a molded connector in order to properly plug it in. The joystick extension cable was perfect for my self made RGB to Scart cable.
Star Wars: Escape from the Death Star Game
Kenner, 1977
complete.
My very first EEPROM programmer!!! :D

You need this board:

OK. Ordered. :) Fortunately, I don't have immediate need for it.
Thanks!

Cool :) without it you can't program the AMD 27c400/800 and the MX Amiga compatible EPROM's
More faulty stuff

Amiga works fine bar the disk drive, have a spare so will be fixing that when I have a day off work, C64 powers on but the serial port doesn't work so I cant load anything. Have a C64C to donate parts for it. Both need a good clean, but I got them for much cheapness.
Um, not *quite* sure it counts for here, but, I got my very first ever online commission slot sold... :) No prizes for guessing that I'm very proud indeed.
I'm just giving my wrists a brief break, and having a quick check of AmiBay while I'm at it.
Got my SNES from Scrappy on Wednesday, had a quick blast on Super Mario 3 last night. One day I'll brave The Lost Levels... Can't wait to get an SD2SNES so I can take it out to the games night :D
received a SC-55 Mk2 a couple of days ago, surprisingly it is in excellent condition (they tend to show wear in the buttons and back area where the connections are)

I got an SGI Indy, an O2 and an Indigo2 recently! The O2 is for sale, as I placed it in the FS forum, but the Indy and Indigo2 I'm keeping. The Indigo2 will be a headless install server, the Indy I'm not sure yet as I have some parts for it in storage.
I also wound up with an O2 recently, as well as an old 040-based HP Apollo workstation (need a keyboard and mouse for that one, though.) I seem to be accumulating a fairly wide variety of old Unix workstations, which is odd considering I'm not a huge fan of Unix. (The Apollo I got because I thought it was one of HP's FOCUS machines, but I figure that as a decent 68k machine whose components are all supported by open-source OSes, it wouldn't be too bad a system for me to dabble with my OS development ideas on...)
One thing to consider John is that IRIX doesn't really feel like a BSD or Tru64 UNIX OS since its one of the first that had a GUI and kind of feels like a bigger version of an Amiga, just prettier and more colourful.
Anyways hit the case with some Magic Eraser on any scratches or scuffs then Armor All - makes the case shine and look nice
Yeah, it kinda strikes me that way - I first noticed it to a lesser extent with Solaris, but commercial Unix in general seems to be a more polished and professional user experience than the anarchy of Linux-land. It'll be interesting to experiment with it a little more and see how much that impression is borne out.
picked up a few things for the bench over the last couple of weeks!
added a broken GW Instek SFG-2004 function gen (I resoldered the bnc, all fixed!) (its sittong on top of the gw power supply)
next to that I added a racal dana 1992 frequency counter, this thing is sweeeeet.
Under the racal dana is a sweet Rubidium Counter, man that is wow. perfect 10mhz sign wave. I calibrated the racal dana to this dead nuts zero! awesome. Made by Lucent its a sweet piece of gear.
next to it is a new rigol ds2072a 2Gs, 70mhz, keygened up to 300mhz and 56Mb ram (base had 14Mb ram). 300mhz scope is FANTASTIC!
whats coming this week is a furman rackmount line conditioner and a rackmount power strip that has 8 switched outlets so I can turn things off individually instead of all or nothing (or pulling plugs)...
repairing and building stuff just got a lot easier.
Man that is pure HW Tech pr0n!!!
got my first 060 yesterday after a fine upgrade of my Apollo040@25 to Apollo060@50 by mjnurney. Now time to get to terms with my Mediator setup in my A1200T to get this baby workin:D
(sorry for the crappy cel phone pics..that's what you get when messing with new Amiga gear at 4 am:cool:). Here's better pics from Mike while he was working on it http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php...o-68060-Apollo
Thanks again Mike !

Is his name Steve?
Mrs Fitz thinks all Gecko's and Dragons are called Steve lol.
I've been dying to annouce it but I've been waiting for a new PSU to arive before I build it up (which came today \o/)
I got an AmigaOne XE 933 on these very boards, have been looking for ages and one finally came up that was affordable.
I'll be doing my usual project thread over the weekend, it's been a while since I've blogged so this could be a good excuse!
Mrs Monkeh called him Robbie - I call him Keith :).
I do have a Cornsnake called Steve though
Attachment 73156
We've had him about 3 years now.
There was a stray kitty that I was taking care of that I named Steve. Yep, Steve the cat! One of my neighbors, who was also looking out for him, got him into a no-kill cat shelter earlier this year. He was just adopted into his forever home last week. :D
Attachment 73163
He's such a sweetheart. Just like Mr. Fitz???
