These were on sale for quite a cheap price so I had to buy one. It is very stiff compared to SUZO models.

I was thinking of modifying it for C64 use. I would replace the cable. The feel is so bad I will save it as USB.
NES Castlevania for NTSC NES
Sega Nomad Battery pack as mine was missing
Sega Game Gear rechargeable battery pack
Also got LA Noire for the PS3. I had a 'backup' copy on the Xbox360 when it was released. Now i've got a PS3 version, nice and legit
Waiting for my NTSC-J Super Gameboy to use on my Super Famicom
This little bundle of joy arrived at 4.30am this morning.
I'd better get ready to spoil my newest grandchild
Congrats Dave :)
Congrats Dave! Great thing about grandchildren is that you get to spoil them then send them home. :)
Heather
Many congrats, Grandpa Dave!
My arrivals today were just retro-themed things in the post. :p

Some Scooby-Doo story dice, which will be handy for wackier writings when used to supplement the Rory's Story Cubes sets I have...

... And, at long last, the long-awaited Bub plush, from Bubble Bobble! These were delayed immensely, multiple times. I'll write up a proper post about this for my blog here, later.

Game.co.uk are having a sale - 2 games for £5 in the pre-owned section (just PS3/Xbox 360) - I usually don't share my purchases here but i thought a few folks (Scrappy, Amiga Forever and so on) might like to get in on this sale. It's just online. This is what i got for £30* inc free postage.
Here is a link for anyone interested.
http://www.game.co.uk/en/games/preow...spot-_-PO2for5
*Does this fall under price driving? it's a fixed sale price that will be over at some point and won't change so i'm not sure if it needs to be voided? at any rate hopefully this sale will enable a few folk to try some games they might usually not do. :)
I just grabbed 4 games,
Udraw tablet (kids have it on the Wii and love it so might enjoy the PS3 version too)
Aliens Colonel Marines (wanted to try this for a while)
Singstar Take That (Wife's choice but i already own Singstar Abba lol)
Udraw Pictionary
Bonus part is i haven't shopped at Game for so long i logged in and found i had £4.89 in reward points so only paid just over £5 for the 4 games :)
That's a steal at that price mate. :)
THANKS Vipp:thumbsup:
Some Bargain games there like GT 5 £2.99(C64 Budget price:lol:)

Hi Steve,
The adapter looks cool! I have a couple on their way to me on the post but never got round to ordering the components.... could you provide a suggestion on where did you get yours?
Btw one of mine is going onto a WarpEngine in that lovely A4000 you sold me 3 years ago!
EDIT: I realized there is another thread where these are sold - hmm maybe I'll have to buy a third one in the end.... tough decisions....
Just got an Amiga A1200 US model, NTSC. I pulled it out of the box it arrived in and the trapdoor fell off. I flipped it upside down and noticed a Blizzard 1230 IV inside with SCSI module :) Booted up just fine. Spinny hard disk (needs to be replaced), working floppy, in very pristine condition. 3.1 roms on the motherboard, 3.0 roms included. Booted up and works fine :)
Now I just need to find the best way to maximize RAM usage in this machine. 32mb total RAM on the 1230 should be fine, but I would love to max out 256mb if possible. I'd settle for less if i have to! I just need to figure out what RAM to buy.
I dont normally post in here,
got a few things lately,
Spectrum +3 with working 3" drive and external 3.5" drive(its on holiday receaving the sound fix),
Dragon 64 (Yahoo!!),
My C64 sent away for Jiffy dos,
Immaculate Coco 2 and the icing on the cake is my CocoSD Cart an amazing piece of kit.
picked up a (not working) Meep x2 for the price of a chocolate bar (seriously), 1 factory reset later my son is playing on it.
but today I could not believe my eye's, wasn't going to go to the local boot sale and stuffed some change in my pocket and went for a mooch.
This is what i got and boxed as new.... I am Over the moon I cannot say how happy I was to find this.
The battery luckily had not leaked but shows how long ago this was used :)
@Sardine
Those are great joysticks. My cousin had some when we were younger and I always wanted some. I was lucky to pick us a NOS set a few years ago. :)
Great catch!
Heather
I finally got my 4000. :)
Attachment 76702
It came with the Kitchen Sync, a vector-scope, etc...
It does (did...) have a leaky battery, but it doesn't appear that it did too much damage. I've pulled the battery, and I will replace the one chip that might have gotten damaged. The thing was stuffed with so many cards that the previous owner had to slide a piece of plastic in between the Kitchen Sync and the Vector-scope to keep them from shorting out. I'll either address this properly, or yank one or the other cards out to make room.
It turned out the the previous owner was moving to Tennessee anyway, so rather than ship it, I waited for him to arrive and drove up and took possession personally. :)
@rootboy: You have my envy! lol, congratulations on your new possesion; it's something about Toaster stuff that gives me the 'click'.
Thanks! I'm very happy with it! And the price was very reasonable, I lucked out! :)
Along with the battery leakage, It's got the A3640 board Rev 3.1, so I'd better check the caps for proper orientation (better yet, just replace them and put them in the right way this time). The battery damage isn't too bad. Here's a shot of it:

Hi,
As I'm a fan of the printed photograph. I've added some things to my little "studio" (at very good price):
- Epson Stylus Photo R3000
- CISS System with "genuine" & autoreset chip
- 9x1l bottles of Ultrachrome K3 pigmented ink
First tests in all formats (A3, A4, 18x13 cm, 15x10 cm) are really impressive.

Just got some new bits for my A2000.
Buddha
Trueide
GVP G-Force 040 Combo
4 x 4 MB GVP SIMMs
Attachment 76793
Attachment 76794
Sadly the GVP doesn't seem to want to pick up the SIMMS in the bottom 2 sockets, and I think the TrueIDE is a bit pants as I cant seem to get it to run a CF on the buddha with any stability!
But hey ho, new kit none the less :)
I had real problems with Buddha IDE on my a2000. AmigaKit was real nice about it.
I ended up sticking with SCSI
I solved my GVP G-Force 40 Combo + Buddha-TrueIDE issues just partitioning/formatting my CFs/HDDs connected to the Buddha with PFS3 FileSystem.
Now SCSI/IDE devices are working together like a charm.
Worst day of my life... my LT has stopped working :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
After playing it pretty constantly over the last 3 days, I went to turn it on and the power light turns on but the Everdrive and screen doesn't power up.

I got some new dice in the post, today! :D
http://i.imgur.com/7Sl86aK.jpg
A pair of Pizza Dice (one for meats, one for vegetables), and a pair of Trap Dice (both identical), both by Flying Buffalo, and a Dice Ring by CritSuccess (of the variety they humourously categorise as an "r6", in contrast to the usual "d6" notation). I got these from Noble Knight Games, as CritSuccess themselves laughably charge around $80 to ship one ring to the UK, whilst Noble Knight only charges a few pounds to ship a few items.
http://i.imgur.com/ZalCwmK.jpg
And here's a better look at the ring.
Also, my copy of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is out for delivery right now, but it's coming via Amazon Logistics, and our local Amazon Logistics driver usually doesn't pass through here until around 6pm or so, so I've probably got a bit of a wait for that, yet, unfortunately!
Oh no! :o I *really* hope you can get it fixed - it looks to be a lovely specimen, after all. Hopefully it's nothing massively serious.
Picked up a Master System base unit from a recycle center while visiting my folks in California. Now I just need to get an A/V cable, a controller, and some games :)
I highly recommend Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap, and the Master System port of Lemmings (the latter wasn't optimised for 60Hz, but this is no different to the fact that they didn't fix the Game Gear version, which was derived from it, to counteract the same issue).
