Oh wow! @soeter04 that is awesome. Looks to be in mint condition.
I was quite surprised when it arrived! The seller claimed it was in "very good state", which usually means yellowed, broken and in a tatty box.
Then this gem arrived. :)
Cosmetically it's in damn good shape, and by the looks of it, it's complete too.
Haven't had the time to hook it up and test it though, fingers crossed :)
Hahahahahaha brilliant! 😀😀😀
quite possibly the longest Nintendo ad ever...

This arrived today and boy am I pleased with the result after migrating the guts of my breadbin across!
Attachment 90555
I just need a rectangular green led to finish it off.
Attachment 90556
maybe it's just me, but it looks too white....
it just looks so....VIC20ish :p
Maybe because it has a breadbin keyboard installed?
Bryce.
probably, I guess if it were a 64C in it, the whiteness of the case wouldn't 'stand out' so much
I was tempted to get one of the blue ones.
I have a 64C thats pretty yellowed, i think that i might just get a can of gloss black spray and lacquer/clearcoat
I was looking at some of the discussion on the other casing molds, sounds like the C128 molds may be too 'well used' to be of any use any more, which would be a shame, I was definitely thinking about getting one or 2 of those.
That's unusual, the molds looked like proper hard molds which should be good for millions of cases, which I doubt the tool ever got to make. If you are spraying a case make sure it's sanded and extremely well cleaned before hand, use an undercoat to ensure it doesn't peel and a clear varnish on top to avoid it from easily being scratched. Takes much longer, but the result will last much longer too. I usually give them two or three coats of colour too.
Bryce.
I got a Final Cartridge III+ PCB from a Lemon64 user the other day. I acquired the rest of the components locally and put it together. It's working nicely. The Plus custom binary includes a set of tools that aren't available in the original FC3. Just need a cartridge case which should be on its way.

Looks good Protek! I also received one of the black PCBs. It's a nice design with some changes from the PCBs I offered. I like the addition of the C= logo in the empty space. :)
Heather
Are there schematic changes? Or do you just mean visually?
Bryce.
got myself 10 mins so trying my father's day present.
Boxed Neos Mouse and Cheese...
damn it's weird only using the right mouse button :D
Got my Sony CDP-X505ES today.
Sounds lovely, built like a tank - can't quite believe the build quality, why don't Sony make stuff like this anymore :(
As this weighs in excess of 12Kg a full Sony ES stack would probably topple around 50Kg!
Thrift shop day :p

Restore it to its former glory :Commodore: is going to be my Everest!!!!
Since I know squat about the A4000 (highest spec machine I had in my old :rainbow: days was an A2000) I hope to get some serious help from the community :grouphug:
As soon as I can start working on it I'll open a thread.

Looks good Aysel. I can imagine you laying on your stomach on the floor with your legs swinging up in the air while playing with the 128D and PET. :)

No pics yet, but acquired an Amiga A500 with 1.2 ROMs, C64 (no power supply), Apple IIe (with a bunch of cards installed), and old Packard-Bell computer (286, I think). Also 2 green-screen monitors. Amiga works but no disks, Apple IIe keyboard is trashed, 5 keys missing/damaged and several others that don't respond. Also have about 100 pounds of books, disks, and accessories including two Okidata printers for the C64. Late last year also acquired another Apple IIe in much better condition with lots of accessories and boards. Still trying to sort as I get some time. Will eventually post some pics of the A500 as I improve it, but first have to find some Workbench disks for it.
Damn, this thing is BIG! It's Easily comparable to the Saitek X series sticks in size. The rapid fire feature is nice. It's like a temporary autofire. Also, the DB9 connector is nice as it looks like molded but is in fact a clip on, so you can change the cable and still keep the original look. Overall, the Cobra appears very serviceable and I believe Alberici is still manufacturing the handle part of the joystick.

Thanks Electro! :thanks:
Luckily my friend was wise enough to remove the battery years ago.
I did a first check the A4000 powers up and loads WB from a CF adapter, I managed to get video output from the A4000 video port and from the scandoubler port of the cybervision 64 3D.
Now I need to retrobright the front of the case, find out which WB to install and how to configure the Cybervision properly...
Not retro related, far from it, but I bought two of these, Samsung 850 Pro 256GBs:
Attachment 90982
One for my parents machine and one for mine. I use to have an OZC Agility 3 60GB, which was indeed rapid, but just small. My parents OZC Vertex II died, which prompted me to buy them (plus me having only 2GB free!). At 80GB writes per day for over 5 years and a 10 yr warranty they're perfect for me. BUT, my stupid motherboard sometimes plays up if I nudge the SATA cable so it's gave me 8 CRC Error counts (SMART check) when it tried to boot after swapping it in and out a second time and moaned about a "read error", god damn ASRock, thought you were good! I might post up and ask about this. Now I have 2 x Samsung 1TBs in RAID1, excelerated by my old SSD using Intel RST!
The Samsung SSDs are wonderful. I think you'll really enjoy them. :)
Heather
There has been an incident lol :D
Just back from a LONG road trip but was well worth the effort :-)
Main things I was after were a Warp engine 040 for the spare A3000, a lovely mint Commodore 1950 multi-sync monitor for my main A3000, Cybervision 64/3d to pair up with my Cyberstorm 060 in the A4k and the exact GVP G-Lock I have been hunting for a few years :D
Everything else including a spare A4k is a bonus, absolutely mint and yes your eyes do not deceive you... both keyboard lock keys present and correct! Unicorn poo!

I have TA-F770ES and ST-S770ES the same flagship like you Top CD :-) my dad have X505ES and TC-K808ES too
that was high-end 80' 90' years
Little trip to the local comic shop today, i needed some comic bags and boards as well as card sleeves anyways...
found some other interesting (and cheapish) bits while i was there.
AD&D 2e Players Option: Combat & Tactics (hardcover) (2nd printing, 1995)
AD&D 2e Players Option: Skills & Powers (hardcover) (2nd printing, 1996)
Matchbox Star Wars Rebel Snowspeeder
Alright, I took another trip over today (needed to get out, warm here and they've been doing renovations on the building so lots of banging and drilling...), decided to have a better look at their 'clearance' shelf (which had the AD&D Players Options books yesterday)
so i found:
Essential Iron Man #1 (reprints Tales of Suspense #39-72)
Essential Marvel Team-Up #1 (reprints Marvel Team-Up #1-24)
AD&D 1e Monster Manual II (hardcover) (TSR, 1983)
and finally, the real reason for West End Games bankruptcy.... (well, one of i am sure...)
Hercules & Xena Roleplaying Game (WEG, 1998....bankrupt in 1998...coincidence...?) (shrinkwrapped...i am absolutely sure it is terrible..but for the money they wanted for a new, boxed game....well..it's worth the price for a good laugh)
oh..and a handful of 'Wacky Packages' sticker packs...a real throwback to about 1981 for me...also..shall we say...'discounted'
My clear and red c64c cases arrived. They look GREAT!
Attachment 91338
Has the kickstarter for the new cases finished now and if so do you know if they're doing another run?
i have a yellowed c64c with broken case clips so a new case would be great
He's selling cases on eBay.
