Have you tried just putting your address in here? https://finder.eircode.ie/#/
Of course if your address sounds even slightly Irish or includes a Fáda you may be out of luck :D

Nice one its there alright :) Not sure if I'll use it much though, have a Parcel Motel account which is great for getting cheaper 'UK only' shipping rates and also avoids the 'what crap did you buy now' conversations with the wife :D
 Very Nice!
An Atari STe PC  Thanks Bas

When you wait ages for nice things to arrive then everything turns up in one day :D
Vortex Golden Gate 486slc and VGA card from BlindGerman.... my master plan with this (as well as some Day of the Tentacle obviously) is to get Star Commander up and running so I can write D64 images from the Amiga to the 1541 via an X1541 cable :-) Apparently it does not play nicely with 060's so we shall see at the weekend when I have time to try it out :D 16MB, 256mb DOM, maths co pro and floppy controller.

A Vortex 286 with i287 Maths Co Pro installed for the A500 very kindly sent to me by Phil from France :D

Yeah, the OPL series has its own kind of "magic tone" that makes it sound good even though it's so much simpler than the professional Yamaha FM synths...great to see the younger generation appreciate it :)
Just picked this up for xxx including cub monitor and double disk drive...Attachment 91909
Aysel,
Your next purchase should be some of that posh red rope to make a walkway around your room and start charging people to come see your amazing collection.
Looks fantastic!
Just picked up an a500 to put in the man cave at the end of the garden (not willing to put my a1200 060 out there). I saw the pics so knew what the seller meant by 'signs of yellowing' but still makes me laugh. Never had a a500 before. Anything I should know?http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07...4418430da0.jpg
yeah, check the trapdoor for memory cards etc if it has a barrel battery remove it itll most likely leak...
erm, what else,oh yeah check the drive if it gets dirt in there which is common it may stop reading disks and may need cleaning if your lucky and the heads arnt worn out.
check all the ic's are seated etc they can work loose.
other than that i think there like tanks, you could check what motherboard is in there although if they work they work.
they are upgradable if your willing to through a small amount of cash at it,if you just want to play floppy games its fine as is.
Cheers Roy.
No memory cards in trapdoor - misplaced the relevant tool to remove the shield (as its a torx driver) but its all shiny and very neat inside.
Motherboard is Revision 6a (is that good?)
Do these have batteries fitted? the 500plus did I think, but when I googled a teadown of the a500 I couldn't see one
It boots up to the Kick 1.3 screen.
The WB1.3 disk that came with it has a read write error - am about to create a new one on my a1200
The a500 into disk that teaches you how to use a mouse etc is great though :)
The drive made a couple of weird noises with some disks but not others - but that could well be the disks.
I could spend a bit upgrading it here and there, but I wonder if I am not better off waiting till Jens releases the aca500plus, and then just either getting one of those or an original aca500.
For the moment, if it runs bubble bobble, dynablaster etc from disk then I am OK with that.
Just need a few hours sun to sort out its tan lines........
Gonna move it out to the man cave in a minute once I have written some adfs to disk.

yes mate 6a is good:)(you can modify the boards for 1mb)
no batterys on the main board you should be good.as thers no clock on it they where on the ram cards normally.
EDIT: i suggest getting a disk head cleaner as well there not alot and worth getting ,you wont have to use it very often.
Wow. This basic a500 is proving to be more of a challenge than I expected. I think my a1200 has spoiled me!
My darling Wifey has bought me a PS4 1TB as a surprise pressy :D

Well my birthday came round, so I was allowed to get this out of the spare bedroom.

Found a Canon MSX for cheap. This unit has an internal PSU. My other MSX (SVI-728 ) needs an odd 9VAC&16VAC PSU which is missing.
http://plazma.kapsi.fi/pictures/temp/Canon_MSX_V-20.jpg
Yeah, I would like one for my hyperspin setup, just gotta save up a bit though, they're not cheap :)
This must be my lucky day. :) I got myself a Memotech MTX500. I've been looking for one for a reasonable price about as long as I've been a member of AmiBay. Never seen one live before this. Best thing about this is that I found it locally.
It's unfortunately missing the PSU and apparently it's going to be a bit of a pickle to get it sorted out.

Found a CPC464 with a colour monitor. I have been searching for a monitor since my older unit misses it. This was also a local pick up so no expensive shipping.
The picture is from the seller add. The machine and the monitor were in a very good shape.

Toaster landed from Amibay... NTSC Sony Broadcast monitor landed from Ebay.... spare A4000 switched to NTSC... NTSC 1084s monitor dug out the garage... its TOASTER TIME lol!
Can you get a live preview screen on the broadcast monitor with Lightwave?

I picked up a blue colored Power Mac G4 450 MHz (Gigabit) at a local thrift store for $xxxx, which is a good deal considering it retailed for about $2,499 when it was new back around the year 2000. I would have rather have found an A4000, but I guess this will do for now
I included the specs below:
http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g4/specs/powermac_g4_450_dp.html
It had the default 256 MB of RAM, but I added a couple of 512 MB sticks bringing the total to 1.256 GB of RAM.
Some of the keys on the keyboard do not respond, but it will require a thorough cleaning. I am glad a regular USB keyboard functions normally.
It also looks like someone installed a second dual header IDE controller, but no extra drives were attached.
Aside from iPods, this is my first 'official' Mac computer.
I'll post some pics once I get it cleaned up. The system was rather filthy on the outside, but the inside was very clean.
NOS Verbatim :) I know it's nothing compared to what you usually post over here... but still pretty happy with the very low price I paid them.

C64 reloaded, mounted in a transparent c64c case.. Burnt a custom rom with jiffydos and danish/norwegian character rom in addition to the originals. Now trying to figure out how to fit dual sid board in there.. The zif sockets are too tall.

Need new keycaps as well obviously :)
@nivalis that looks great! I have the same plan. Are key caps still available?
-(e)
Yes, I think so, https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/b...0891414#/story
My C64 Freeze Machine from an theotherbay seller arrived today :-(
Attachment 92635
Apparently the proper item has gone to Latvia so looks like i'll never get it - just trying to work out how I connect this to the c64 :-(
The old SE phones probably still had a serial connection, you can use it as a modem :)
Bryce.
@plazma
Fantastic machine... I still have mine from 1987.
Well, I had to join the 21st century eventually :D
Apple MacBook Pro 13" Retina i5 16GB 512GB (PC Worl are doing a 10% refund deal!), 27inch AOC monitor and Apple Magic Mouse + Keyboard. As a bonus, the monitor has integrated speakers and the PS4 looks rather splendid on it :-)

Well, last week I walked into a charity shop I check in town most weekends, and they had 26 Megadrive games sitting there! So I snapped those up for my collection. Then today, I had a day off to take the car to the garage, just stopped at a charity shop on the way back at random, and they had Baton Kaitos for the GameCube in with all there crappy PC games! I was amazed, couldnt belive it. Nearly the rarest game I've ever found in a charity shop, apart from Hexyz Force and Class of Heroes for the PSP last year! I completely appreciate anything that I find so I don't feel guilty!
reminds me of the time i went to one of the local thrift stores and found ChronoTrigger for SNES and a near-new copy of Return of the Witch Lord expansion (cards un-cut, figs still on their plastic frame) for HeroQuest for....well...as i can't say the price...it was actually less for both than the price I had paid to take the train/bus there and back...
