Got myself an Apple Tv. The idea is to connect it to my amplifier with the toslink cable and use my iPad to access my music library to play it through the amp.
picked up an A1000 (base unit only) and it came with an extra A1000 system board, but both non working, for $45 US.
already repaired the A1000 base unit (just bad mainboard ram) now gonna start on the seperate motherboard, same boot issues, so i am assuming system ram first and go from there.

picked up a powermac G5, gonna have a look at OSX (never tried that OS), installing Linux and, of course, morphos
amazed a machine that cost 3300 euro when it was released, now goes for 100 euro
it's the 2.5Ghz dual processor version and it has 5.5Gb of memory (what a weird amount)
glad it can handle a regular (steelseries) mouse, i don't even want to get used to that weird mouse it came with :)

I picked up a late Amiga 500 yesterday. I'm hoping it to be a Rev8 motherboard with ECS Denise but haven't opened it up yet to make sure. According to the seller the Kickstart is 1.3.
I'm planning to get a Vampire 500 v2 for it once they become available.

Gamepad for C64. You can select the button functions with the switches. Each button can be fire or jump (up). The gamepad was made of a cheap USB dogbone gamepad.

TOD clock circuit. With this the TOD clock is functional if you use a DC only PSU for the C64 short board. BTW which games and programs use the TOD clock?

been finding a LOT of Star Wars stuff lately, I guess the hype over the new movie is finished with now :lol:, all the Hot Wheels die-cast ships (9) were in the Dollarama store for pretty cheap...
Picked up a new Kickstart 3.1 chip from AmigaKit and a 4GB compact flash and IDE converter for my A600, in anticipation of a Vampire2 card arriving in the coming months. The existing Kickstart was .229, so doesn't support booting from the CF card.

the Intellivision carts really kinda made the whole trip worth-while, and I have been looking for specifically that version of Scrabble for a while.
oh, and as an aside, FFG and GW have ended their working relationship as of next March 1, so anyone who's wanted any of those games (Warhammer/Talisman/Blood Bowl: Team Manager/Space Hulk cards, etc) might want to grab them before the year is out... (I'm betting the ebay people will jack up their prices for Christmas, usually do :lol: )

got an A500 1mb chip ram Red LED and 1.3/3.1 rom switcher (saves 512k from ACA500 maprom), (A500+ on its way), ACA500 and Supra Ram 500RX currently populated with 2mb ram, so I have a 5mb ram Amiga 500 booting from CF.... :D
The only downside is when the Supra Ram is enabled the ACA500 defaults to 7mhz so I basically have an A500 with 4mb Fast Ram.
when I load Frontier elite or any other demanding game I turn the Supra off so im back to 14mhz 68000, bit of a pain and a bit disappointed the ACA500 not only is crippled with 2mb of ram but if you add more ram it down clocks to 7mhz :( which the Supra Turbo 28 does not.
oh well the Vampire 500 cant be to far away now.
replaced the drive belt in my external FDD , working perfectly.

so I was really starting to run out of space again in this small apartment, and getting kind of cluttered again, what with all the gaming stuff I have been getting lately (both at the thrift shops, and getting more Imperial Assault/XWing stuff) and I decided to head down to Ikea for a new bookcase (I have a small corner which was un-utilized and they had one that was closest to using the space completely, most I'd looked at were either way too wide, or very narrow, or were only 11" deep at the width I had to work with (31"))
I also took the opportunity to break out my vinyl XTC collection, as I have a bit more space to use them, which I will include here for the hell of it even though they aren't 'new', I haven't really seen them in the last 10-11 years.
I want to replace the cheap 'Vibe' turntable in the next month or 2 as well (I only bought it because it was a: cheap, and b: wanted to see if a USB turntable was of any use to me - I also liked the fact that it is very compact on a shelf), I was looking at the Crosley and Audio Technica USB/Bluetooth turntables that HMV is carrying in the $150-200 range and seem to look quite nice, and wouldn't break the budget too badly.

Nothing much new in here; Empty Amiga 2000 case in nice shape to hold me fixed rev 6.2 board, the first goodies from the Amiga 1200 case project, Magic Mike 2002 robot and a Unicom 102 Calculator (the last I bought because it looks so very damn cool :) )
oh yeah...that reminds me...one of the biggest reasons why I have been getting out more in the last month or 2 and getting loads more of this 'crap' :P
after waiting for *7* years for Rent subsidy (our building was partially subsidized by the federal government of Canada, but only to the tune of 15% ie: 24 of the 163 suites in our building, and it's a terrible thing to say...but you are basically waiting for someone to die and relinquish their subsidy...) the building was put into receivership in 2014 and subsequently sold to a low income/non-profit housing company (Calgary Housing Company) this year (July 1 they took over) which opened up more subsidies through them...
anyways...long story short....my rent went from $930/mo for this small one bedroom place - to $285 as from Sept 1
(oops, does that qualify as price driving 1br apartment rents? GOOD, I hope so :P )
I guess that qualifies as 'getting something new' too :P

I think I need some help too...
In the last 2 weeks, I bought 2 Tandys. A Tandy Color Computer 2 (26-3127A) and a pretty rare (Boxed) Tandy TRS-80 MC-10 with 16K memory expansion. Maybe not special for most Americans, but this is a PAL MC10 designed for either English, Dutch, French or German market since it has all 4 languages on the box. Quite interesting.
You may wonder what the problem is when buying 2 computers right?

So yeh. I'm currently the owner of the largest collection Tandys in the Netherlands :o (and still missing the Color Computer 1, the business TRS80 (Model 2, 12, 16, 16B, 6000 etc) and most of the IBM-compatibles like the 1000s and 4000s)
Nice Tandy collection, I see you have a 1000 ex. Great little machine once you add the ram expansion card as you get 16 color Tandy / PC Jr video. Had 3 voice digital sound too.Quote:

I paid xx euro for the boxed MC10 + documentation + memory expansion which included fees and postage, then again I paid only xx euro for a boxed Color Computer 2.
I'd love to have a Color Computer 1, but not for weird high prices. Same goes for everything.
It's not much better here in Australia, 1000's go for well over $xx when they do come up, which isn't often.
Currently preparing to be a first time dad so had a difficult choice to make between selling my Amiga 1200 with indivision aga, Blizzard Phase 5 68030 and gotek drive along with 2 acorn atoms and peripherals and purchasing a pram, the pram won !
I was was able to keep my cd32 so as a consolation prize I purchased another indivision aga for the cd32 and have treated myself to a couple of boxed games, I doubt I'll have any money from January onwards due to nappies and baby clothes but hopefully I'll find an hour in the week for some gaming
That must have been one helluva pram...! 😂

Yeah I hear you, that is what Gumtree is for i.e. so that you can keep your retro collection!
