Works perfectly...
Lucky punk!
I am married, and believe it or not the wife is good with it. My entire basement is old video games and computers. If the stuff were upstairs she might have an issue.
hopefully it will fit my A3000UX :blink:
Im not even sure if the A2091 is compatible with A3000UX?
Wow, not bad at all! Original game or has it been hacked with?
Lately I'm getting more and more interested in arcade cabs and pinball machines. I don't have any space to build a collection of them, but I'm thinking of building myself a custom MAME-cabinet from scratch. And maybe a pinball machine after that :)
@bootay
my envy sir...... you have it.....

The A3000 has fast DMA SCSI II controller - why would you need the A2091?
@thread
Saturday just gone, I had few minutes and about £10 pocket money so I poped into cash converters to see if I could find a couple of PS3 titles for a fiver - *yes they have PS3 titles for that price!!!
so I found FUEL and Jerico and was about to go purchase them when a middleaged couple walked in asking the assisnant about the machines they had brought in earlier for test.
as I purused the PS3 titles a little more - I over heard the assistent say they couldn't take the PS2 Phat anymore - so the guy said could you tip it for us.. the guy said let me check...
I was shocked... but its not my business so I decided to have the games in my hand and go to the second counter...
as I waited the assistant came back to the couple and said that they couldn't as it needs to be recycled - they said they would be able recycle the games (i was thinking most likely in the shop window!)... but nothing else...
I was, as you are now.... completely dumb founded....
The assistent then went on to say that they could take the rest to gamestation for recycling as they could do it for them... (again I was thinking they would recycle it in the shop window!)...
Anyway.... I couldn't help it ... I approached the couple and said, Instead of walking to the otherside of town, my daughter would love a PS2 to share with her friends...
and before I could atleast offer them a tenner they said... there you go (thrusting a huge carry bag at me)... I asked them if they were sure.... the both said yes, its fully working with everything with it.
I was, as you are all now.... stunned.
I thanked them for their generosity and they left the store... I then waited for my turn in the que at the check out for my PS3 Games...

When I got back,I got time to find what was in the bag...
A PS2 PHAT in very good cosmetic condition, reads my original disks
A PS2 Controller
Power Leads and Composite RCA connector
Complete steering wheel controller with 2 Peddel base
HOW AWESOME!!?!?!?!?!?
@zetro great stuff mate
when i go in to cash generators or converters im stunned at the prices they give for stuff and sell for 3 times the amount. i do get some cheap stuff now and again.
Nice work Zetty!
I just picked this lot up for Cosmicfrog, one of those ebay collection only's and just 15 mins from my house!
Masses of C64 stuff, no idea how we're going to get it to Staff's though, yes all the boxes are full and weigh a lot!
@fitzsteve: That's easy! You could start by "testing out" the equipment, and share the experience over the net with Cosmicfrog! I'm sure he'd be equally excited, as if it all were at his place! (that's what friends are for) :lol::lol:
Anyway, funny comments aside, i believe the best way would be to send out in doses. That's of course if final destination is real far, and shipping is big.. That way you'll start freeing up space, and the recepient will start enjoying some of the stuff.
its all my secret plan to convert steve from the ways of the spectrum to the ways of the CBM C64 hehehehe
well done mate, nice to see a ram expansion on top of the pile :)
all being well I`ll send some cash towards P&P in the morning
edit, you might be keeping the monitor though ;)
yay a monitor for my A600 lol...
Not sure what were going to do about postage there are at least 3 parcel2go's here...
Think the big boxes might be oversize tho.
Steve
hows this for a coincident, just been offered a monitor for free
Nice see karma is still fully functional ;) :cool:
i've got some new stuff :)
Jackpot for the price of one new videogame:

Including two monitors and a couple of keyboards. I'm gonna keep some but some have to go.
Cool, a IIci! I used to have one of those next to my A3000. Both have a 25MHz 68030, I did quite some speed comparisons and the Amiga won most of the times :D
Great haul highlandcattle but cripes that picture really gave a good go at my poor PC's internet. :explode
@highlandcattle: Some fine collection of bitten apples there! Awesome!:thumbsup:
my A2000 arrived today, rev 4.1 CR board, floppy drive, rev 2.0 roms, scsi cd drive (no scsi card)
now the big question........ what hell am i going to do with it? lol really don't know why i bought it:Doh:
Today I finally received a nice condition (unmolested, unopened) Amiga 600 in preparation for the ACA630's release! :D
http://s3.amazonaws.com/twitpic/phot...RkJJm8Ie3Sw%3D
It is going to be my demoparty and WHDload machine. It will be well looked after and adored for years to come - I promise. :)
I just got 2 given to me last weekend :) One has a bridgeboard, and one has a scsi. I am just going to upgrade mine slowly, the best thing about the A2000 is that Boards are a lot cheaper than the other Amiga's, I am going to get Amix running on one as soon as I get another '030 card. The A2000 makes an excellent "project" Amiga
I have a couple of A2k. Great machines on more than one sense!
One pretty barebones, other with 3.1 ROM, 030 Impact A3001 GVP accelerator, GVP SCSI+8 (with 4Mb turned on), 1 9Gb + 18Gb(!) HD, 2x floppies & SCSI CD. Running OS3.9 smoothly.
A great beast where you can throw a lot of hardware inside and run all pre-AGA software. Heaps better than an A500!
Oh new glasses, cool
Only joking :)
HAHA! Yeah cheers guys :p I've had them a while I wear them and contacts, depends what mood i'm in. I realised I didn't have to go out today so I stayed in scruffy mode :D
I've been playing it, its initially annoying with the optional install (says will take 20 mins but actually took 50 for me, and at "30 seconds left" it took another 10 mins, I'm sure they've done that on purpose), but once thats over its ace! I've played it a little whilst little 'un has been asleep. I've very happy with it. Worth the 5 year wait!

seems to be a winner :)
but the real question is........
how does it compare to Forza?
Badly.
...
well the people i know that have played it have said it's stunning......
only bad point i've heard is the damage models aren't so good, but i want to know what the racing is like?
Well its early days, and I never go by reviews only my own opinion. I've not played it enough yet, but early impressions are better than Forza 3, for me anyway. Some people prefer GT some prefer Forza. I'm a GT guy so maybe i'm bias but thats my opinion, and for me the amazing GFX just add to the already great formula. The weather effects are awesome and head tracking with the PS eye adds a real element of being there, and it works very well. All I need now is a G27 and a 3DTV (I wish) and i'll be set :D
*facepalm* tsk tsk tsk

Its stunning mate, and its got that wow factor too. Maybe its all the waiting and eagerness over the years, but once I jumped into it I was hooked all over again. The only problem I have now is time!! I was dropping in games whilst my kid was asleep and i'm about to have a go now too but it seems the servers are being battered and I cant get online! I can also hear my kid crying a bit so i'm wondering if the missus will call be to bed soon to help. hehe! typical innit? :D
Yeah I thought that too :D
BTW guys look me up on PSN i'm "Biphter" :)
I am so getting a PS3... I want to be cool like you guys too. :D
I've just watched a few trailers on You Tube and it looks awesome!
Was going to go shopping for it tonight but going to pray they still have it tomorrow, I'm fitzsteve on PSN by the way...
Yes get one and be cool like us! (BTW I am yet to take that box out my mouth, thats how cool I am, not! heheh!) Its playing really nice too, I'd say it feels very much like the older games just looks dazzling. I've managed to get on and have been trying to get out of the sunday league because i hate it. If it wasn't for the arcade mode to get an instant feeling of how awesome it is to look at i'd not be so impressed, Sunday league SUCKS! Well I guess you have to start somewhere. First bad thing: - I noticed head tracking was a bit off and doesn't seem to work all the time, ah well. Maybe it likes daylight through the windows better than night time bulb lit room.
I hope you get a copy ok Steve, i'll look you up on PSN :)
<-- PS3 fanboi
Zetr0-Gamer is my PSN Tag =D
currently laying down some law in WipEout HD Fury =D
@r0jaws
The PS3 will eventually own you..... oh yes... it will!
besides cash converters have a lot of cheap Ps3 titles - as does fleabay =D
@Phips
I shall be adding you to the elite that is my PSN friends list =D
@Fitzy
you got Ps3 ? i see your gamer tag - you also will be added to the elite that is my PSN gamer list ;)
and have you bought RR7 yet?
;)
WOW Zeetz! Someone else who likes Wipeout! :D I recently upgraded my Wipeout HD to Fury so will be revisiting it again.
And RR7! I bought that moons ago, not played it in a while, but again, Ridge has been an all time fave since I first played the original all those years ago and my jaw dropped, loved it and all the iterations since :)
Well, I just played the London Track in arcade mode with the Ferarri F40 and "smack my B*tch up" screaming out on custom track list...... you can't get any more awesome than this. London track is absolutely STUNNING! The lighting especially is unreal! BTW, I discovered head tracking only seems to work in arcade?? I cranked up the sensitivity to max and my cockpit view is moving all over and in perfect time to my head! It really adds to the atmosphere!
Hey Zeets, I've owned RR7 for ages, even before the famous Curry night but the most I played it was at your place lol.
I will play sometime honest, my problem is too many games... And too many Amiga projects ;)
But everything will stop for GT5 and I will be awol, sorry chaps!!!
Look forward to seeing you guys in my PSN list, have you tried the Multiplayer yet Phipppp's? I hope we can can have races against each other and not silly auto join ones against fools who just crash you off the road!
Heading out at lunch to get the game, we have plenty of game shops in Bromely - bound to find a copy...
YAY!!!
Got my copy of GT5 and double club card point, yeah go me :cool:
Hope to race you guys later!
BTW, how much space needed for the install?
I looked on the back of the box it only says the minimum specs to play, i.e for the save file.
Oh and do I get to keep my stuff from prologue?
OMG, so excited and now I have to work another 3 hours :thumbsdown:
Congrats Steve, I am now indeed gutted. :(
I hear the Top Gear Test Track os on there, let me know how you get on on that with a brown Kia "Cee *apostrophe* Dee". :p
Oh I wish I could my friend...
Heck, if I can scrape enough together I might consider a PS3 after Xmas sometime and give you a thrashing. Mind you being left out of the GT house for quite a number of months will probably leave me a broken man. :(
Still, if you happen to be playing it after a few months I may be able to give you a race someday. :thumbsup:
Just after xmas might be a good time to get one as well ;)
Just been reading up on the Online Service and it sound great, there is an Online Lounge or Lobby like feature where you can track your mate progress and arrange races, etc.
Damn, should have booked the day off work...
