Ok, so with the job and such, not much more work has been really done, but I did get my package from AmigaKit today! At first, I was worried, because the packaged was all crammed in my little Apartment Mailbox. Luckily, Amigakit sure knows how to pack stuff, so much in fact that I am almost positive some one there loves to use the heat sealer a little too much....:p
Any ways, I got the 4 device IDE interface. The latest one look way better than the picture AmigaKit has on the Website.
I also got the CF drive for the A4000. Now what really shocked me is that the CF adapter that AmigaKit included is a Double CF adapter, allowing you to put an extra CF card in there. I got the A600 drive a few weeks ago, and it was just a single, so this was a very cool surprise and upgrade.
Stay tuned to both the blog and the dirty pictures thread for more.
Opps, I almost forgot to THANK AmigaKit!, I know I try to mention them in the blog, but THANK YOU all at AmigaKit for making my life a little bit easier with this hobby. We tend to take for granted sometimes, the great work that Matt and the guys do there, and with no direct means to contact them with a simple "thank you", I must mention it here
He he,
Its awesome
My new favourite
And 4 new games already:
http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...e/IMG_1079.jpg
(Just waiting for Fantasy Zone to arrive...)
Awww, New Zealand Story! Besides Alex Kidd, that was my fave game on the master system (II), my first games console! (until Sonic Chaos came along).
Great game!
/delves into his collection of original games artwork
I must say, so far... Everything I played on the PC Engine is near arcade perfect
That looks like real nice properly packed. Vesalia is also good in selling and packing, but support:blink::whistle:
I am really interested in the result with that CF adapter, I bought one very long time ago off ebay it never took second ide cf device.
Those cf adapters are general market probably but the ide spliter is not, I had one myself for many years. I can only say be carefull with it, I had a few pins replaced over the years, it is a proper product but it does not use the new connector type, so it suffers misabuse even more. Fitting an ide cable is of course child play but somethimes when it is an computer case with all exitement and stuff..
One of these for my PeeCee Engine :D

Steve - Are you going to get the SuperCD addon?
Most of the really awesome games are on CD.
that TG16 makes me super-jealous! :D
Today I bring home my "new" toy: an Apple ][ clone made in Brazil.
The Apple Laser IIc!
Yeah, I think that too.
Now the fun begins: locate proper floppy units or cassette drivers, programs, something better than a B&W TV to hook it in, the original power supply (the power plug is the DIN8...:banghead:)...
I picked this up a few days ago, saw this for dirt cheap in a second hand shop and after sending my PC Engine to Fitz Steve couldn`t resist lol :p so got myself a PC Engine Core Grafx II with several games and 9 more on the way
Nice one Timo
I was feeling bad for a time taking your favourite console
Haha no worries Steve, I am happy to make more PC Engine junkies on this board, actually I had always wanted a Core Grafx II before but never could justify it as I have the Core Grafx I so this worked out for me. By the way the test page is up for the site - www.pcengineshooters.com/beta/
Cheers Steve, will update you when the site is fully up and running.
Glad I got up early for F1 practice, just sat here with the Laptop and Ninja'd this BIN on eBay...

After barely days of swapping my 600 off I missed it badly and needed another. :( I looked and I spotted this one being sold as "FAULTY?" on feeBay. After a Royal Fail faff I got her and WOW! She's totally fine!!! Needed a good clean mind and needs a few bits but after that picture she ain't in bad shape. :)

Sadly the Mediator for the A4000 didn't arrive today, but thats probably for the best as I can get the Apollo 4060 running first then whack the Mediator in once that is sorted :coffee:

Sweet arcade stick there Steve!
Not retro but my new purchase of the week is my new car (new to me anyway!).
Loving it :)
John
Hehe thanks Steve - my wife says it's my mid life crisis car - I said - "No sweetheart, that's still to come, and it won't be this - it'll be a Merc SLR MacLaren" :)
J
nice john
Well it turns out that this Arcade Stick is the biggest pile of dog turd I ever used, please no one else ever buy this and if someone offers it to you punch them in the face
Here is a reminder of what to avoid:
http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...h_PC_Stick.jpg
Diagonals are useless, buttons are cheap plastic as is the whole thing :(
Can't even pull a fire ball on SF2
Nightmare! Sorry to hear that Steve! It looks great too - obviously style over substance then :(
J
I got a new vga to replace my aging 285 one!
http://i51.tinypic.com/2mca97a.jpg

I am waiting for witcher2 :D
Sweet card Keropi!
John
Picked up an A4000 to replace the one I had lost several years ago. It's in great condition. A bit yellowed but not to bad. Keyboard is worse than the faceplate. You can see where it used to have keyboard shortcut template over the F keys.
It's a rev B board board with a socketed buster 11 and 040. 2 meg chip, 16 meg fast, HD floppy drive and a CV64/3D w/ scan doubler. Battery was replaced with a coin type with no leakage. The board looks practically new.
I still had the HD from my old 4K so I swapped it with the one that was in there and it booted right up. It's currently running OS 3.1 with newicons 4 but I'm going to install 3.9 as soon as I get 3.1 roms installed.
Here's a couple crappy iPhone pics LOL!
Lookin' good LamboJay
I do love the A4000 in its original Desktop Case
Thanks Steve. The 3K is still my favorite Amiga but I'm going to use the 4K as my daily use machine for now. I have plans for the 3k...
Received my PS/2 adapter from MKL.
Works great even with a regular old ball style mouse! Just got to find me a really nice Amiga-ish looking optical mouse.
