Wow Mart - you're going to be busy!:thumbsup:
I think you'll need to register your Hyperion games and get updated installers for OS4.1 though.
Have fun!
Steve.

Wahooo a nice ickle Mame Cabinet
I was in town today so did a bit of shopping:) seen as I'm getting a Indivision ECS and A604 Memory Expansion from Amigakit. Thought I would get prepared for removing the RF Modulator thankfully there's a couple of good guilds on here to keep me right  ps the soldering wick is in the post.
A while back, I posted news of my new Amiga, courtesy of a friend who knew I'd get more enjoyment out of it.
http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php...836#post163836
Well, I only just got the power supply at the weekend, and had the opportunity to switch it on today.
After a couple of games of Pinball Dreams, Archer MacLean's Pool and Lemmings (which my kids loved by the way!), I loaded into the Workbench disk to have a play around with the speech synthesizer (like the good old days!).
I happened to glance at the chipmem in the title bar - 2 megs!!!
So, what does this mean? There is a card in the trapdoor slot, which I had assumed was the extra 512 for the A500 Plus, but it seems not.
Any ideas?
Either way, A nice wee surprise!
AndyC
The A500+ comes with 1MB as standard (soldered onto the motherboard), if you have a ram expansion in there its likely to be another meg, making 2MB in total.
Oh, have you removed the battery from it?
Not yet- I had the case open to have a look and there's no damage, but I do intend to get shot of it.
I had heard that it was a simple case of snipping the pins, but it seems a bit more awkward than that.
I'll have another look at the various hints and tips on here before I have another look...
Cheers!
AndyC
@Chris: no mate.
You are confusing the A500+ (which ALWAYS have 1Mb soldered to the board) with the normal A500 (latest revisions 6 & 8 ).
Both revision 6 (when using a 8372 Agnus) or revision 8 (in fact a half-made A500+) can have 1Mb of chip RAM soldering the missing chips.
The butchered (A500 and not A500+) Rev8 boards are the ones with the right Agnus (8372), but missing
- the Denise of A500+
- the chips of 1MB (only 512KB soldered)
- the demux chip
- the clock battery
- the RTC chip plus components
If you change the Denise, and solder the remaining parts... you got yourself an A500+ :)
You are right, Tahoe. I think our good friend Marius forgot this little detail.
Indeed all A500+ came with a version of 2Mb 8375 Agnus, and is a complete non-sense making a special version of the 8375 with only 1Mb of addressing capability and still pin-compatible with the Agnus from the 500+ board.
Well, I'm on the lookout for a cheap(ish) hard disk and fast mem solution so I can build a decent WHD load system.
I'll keep my eyes out, but if anyone sees anything of interest, let me know!
Cheers,
AndyC
Wow then I really don't know what to make of my Plus then. I'm sure it had less then 1Mb showing on the WB screen.
My friend, the Workbench screen will always show less than total memory because the actual memory consumption.
So, if you have 1Mb total RAM, expect ~300kb subtracted for Workbench, partitions & commodities that load to make things working.
Type or click in "showconfig" to know the actual physical RAM on the machine.
It's the first time that i post something in this thread, i hope you'll like it:

Yes, all the games are new. :)
nice find kaos!!!
thanks keropi! :)
i had many troubles with italian customs but finally they arrived safely at my home. ^_^
P.s. speaking about your sign, i can't wait for Dark Souls too!! :)
Uao! Where did you find them? :)
e - bay.
i bought them about 2 months ago but they arrived today. :)
Spotted a couple of C64 cart's in today's local bootsale. However i've no idea what they are to be honest. One says "Simons' Basic" and the other is apparently an "Unstoppable Reset Cartridge Mk2".
Simons' Basic

Well, I love reading this thread but I have never posted in it for something Ive bought. Until today! :D
Me and the mrs are going to a concert at Wembley next month so I thought Id treat myself to a fancy new digital camera :) I got a Fuji F300 EXR from Currys, it had £110 off! They have got a new model out but this one works just fine thank you  I put in a 16GB card but much to my annoyance the camera can only shoot about 15 mins of HD video! Me thinks its time to play with the settings :D
or a bigger card!
Nice Camera Taj :)
J
Thanks John :)
Unfortunately, Im taking it back today :( I finally managed to get noise free images but the quality is worse than my 5MP Fuji V10! Its not unacceptable but not as good as my old cam. But the real deal breaker is the video.
It states on the box it does HD video (720p). Now I wasnt expecting amazing blu-ray quality video but Im getting grainy, fuzzy videos with very poor focusing when zooming, its total let down :( Im going to end up taking my old cam and the mrs' Samsung camera to the concert but I guess theyll have to do.
Got my 604 today, working great, Thanks Jen and Amigakit for fast delivery
Got this beast yesterday:
@Zetr0: Yes, Trinity is a nice series. Nevertheless, this is actually my first "real" synth. I've a CZ 230 which i used mostly as a controller for ages, until i got a full-sized-key MIDI controller. Also got an SK-1 baby, which i intend to circuit-break some day... But mostly am dependant on soft synths, and my Akai S3000XL sampler. There's a sense in the Force that i must slowly stop opening more hardware projects and get down to music-making and software. :D About time i get involved in how synthesis is done
I know it doesn't count until I have pix and I don't even have an actual list yet..
But Family are coming to visit (Drat!), so I'll have to do that after..
But a quick post for now.
I got (from here actually)
(Picked it up, but I didn't really look at individual parts when I got the bundle, since I picked it up and got all of it, he threw in other "stuff"):
-1084S - working (My second, this one is actually the same model I had BITD)
-A1000 Mouse - YEAY.. I didn't even know til I got it home. I thought it was a regular Amiga mouse. It's a right angled tank. My 1000 didn't come with an original. Tested, working!
-Optical 3 button mouse - NOT WORKING, but I was told that up front. One of the LEDs isn't LEDing... (hard/easy to fix? -Not sure if that's the only issue. No optical pad, but I did get the cursor to scroll down when I moved the mouse over my screen. ;-) )
- Curved CBM Amiga mouse - not tested, missing ball cover. I have another mouse just like it on my 1200, with the cover, so at least it's backup parts..
-1010 floppy - 2 of them, not tested, told at least 1 wasn't working I think.. (I need to pay better attention.. I was just too psyched.. ;-)
-Golden Image floppy - not tested
-CA880 floppy - not tested
-AE HD floppy - not tested, but I didn't know it was going to be a HD floppy until I got there... Hmmmm... ;-)
-Apple SCSI CD ROM (external) - not tested, I already own one of these..
-Various SCSI cables.
-3 1084S monitor cables. I now have 1 spare of each type for my 1084Ss...
-BBOF - Big Box O Floppies. none tested - Lots of PD, but also, a complete WB 3.0 set (nice as my 1200 has a 3.0 ROM but came with 0 floppies). Some 2.04 and 2.05 disks. (sets?? maybe..), about 7 (?) complete game disk sets, Fantavision, AmigaVision, other stuff.. ;-)
-An ESCOM WB 3.? manual (nice as my 1200 had no books), a Commodore "Using The System Software" (2.0? version, book not a binder)
-2 SCSI hard disks - non tested.
-SCSI converters - not tested, 50-68 pin converters..
-Original binder, Amiga 3000 schematics.
-Binder with a LOT of Amiga product flyers and dealer price sheets, etc... Interesting..
-KS 2.? ROMS for the A3000 and original SCSI chip from 3000.
LOTS.. Wish I had time to go thru it...
New old Amstrad :). Found on car boot sale.
Got a zoom floppy in yesterday. Now I need to install a parallel port into one of my 1571's.
Later,
dabone
Very cool! You can either make the parallel cable yourself or pick up a professional quality cable directly from Peter Schepers. Directions to build or order are at Peter's web site:
http://ist.uwaterloo.ca/~schepers/1541par.html
I bought a cable from him and it works great with the Zoom Floppy.

@salaxi54
Nice piece of kit!!!
Recently I picked up a Yamaha DX-7 and a Sequential Prophet 2000, will try and post some piccys later!!!! :D

I got my AmigaOne today!
Fired it up (after refitting the motherboard which came loose during transit :o)
And to show her the respeckt I bought a brand new Keyboard/Mouse from Amigakit

Now I have to work out how to use this thing
Got my IDE68K v401 from Mkl a little while ago but as I just installed it and got some pictures I thought I would share :-)
As you can see its all installed.
I did have to trim the shielding mind but that's no problem.
Just waiting on my new kickstart roms before I can test it fully.
Here's something interesting that arrived this morning:
http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...e/IMG_1766.jpg
Its a CDRW with built in Card Reader.
Will plug right into one of the headers on the Subway or Debeb as it has the 5pin connector
will be perfect in my A4000D :D
Thanks mate :)
There's a couple more on eBay and its a BIN:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Its quite long though and I've not tried fitting it yet, although no longer it seems than what I already have in my A4k
I just need to swap that Thylacine out for a Deneb :ninja:
Ooooh! Indeed! Nice find Steve!
@ bagpuss22: Sounds great! The DX-7 is an all-time classic. I've once seen a limited edition one with golden buttons
As about the Prophet, i think a few pics would be dandy
Great drive there Steve! Ive seen these before, theyre dead handy on an Amiga these days if you have USB.
Sorry I mean my project thread
Also it is tempting to do a Blog with all my projects, I registered a blogspot page months ago but didn't do anything yet...
Threre's also another site I'll possibly be publishing my Amiga Journey on
And maybe even some new cheapters :o
Steve.
Nice device there Steve - I like that a lot :)
