After 5 years of looking.. I've found the amp of my (youth) dreams.. (su a 1000 su c 1000 preamp) (mask II)
A local repair hobby guy had it, because the lights were not working and the fan was not going on, so the amp jumped in protection mode.
He alse repaired the pre-amp wich operates on battery to have clearer sound, wich eventually dies as well.
This is bamboo cap technology :D I took the radio as well to match, and needed to take a less matching cd player, I have one reasonable matching, but wanted to make sure to have good quality for this new amp. (the matching 5 loader did sound like crap, since I have a 5 loader old system at home, I was uncertain about it.)

missing it's original controllers, tho
That's a great find! These amps really look (and sound!) great. I'm a Technics fan myself, got a couple of amps / receivers / tuners / cd players, nothing extraordinary though.
I've been looking for this amp / preamp, but they seem to be non-existent in my country, will probably settle for a A900 / C800 combo that seem to be selling somewhat frequently. After that I just need some quality tuner and the sound processor, then I'll consider my 'collection' reasonably complete ;) Maybe just one integrated MOSclassA amp more ... :)
Enjoy!
Thanks  Normally they are found in Belgium as "demonstration model" (all of them :picard), so they wan't a lot for it. I found this at a repair guy who imports them from Germany. He can get more of them.
I am a fan of technics myself, my stereo lasted over 15 years, and still have it in storage, I had a v570
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osQjRjjnI6Y. It's not for sale.
Good amp, it had a very clean sound, but when played flat this new one is better. I can here the difference. Good luck in your search, mate and be carefull, alway's listen to it, and load it enough, for the fan problem...
Technics are indeed great and very robust. I had some gear too and it's a great start into Hi-Fi seperates. That big analog meter thing sure looks pretty. Is that a tuner or just showing the playback/recording levels?
It's the end-amp, the pre-amp is seperate. Shows watts for 8 ohm speakers.

Very nice indeed, didn't know Technics did these.

I'm not envious at all...

(But maybe someone at Play Expo got one before)
Just got one of these:
http://i1014.photobucket.com/albums/...c/7800_mod.jpg
OK, not the 7800; had that...
But I got (and finally installed) a composite MOD kit in it.
I took out the RF modulator (man, that was tricky) and the channel switch and put the jacks there.
(They are mounted in a piece of plastic that's not permanent, so I can fix the fact that the red jack is too high.. ;-) )
I'm not showing my work, as people here are really good and I have solder skill envy.. ;-)

p.s. The screen image is much better than the pic. My picture taking is on par with my soldering skills..
Another addition to my already overpopulated Speccy collection. Just couldn't resist....
Got myself an almost complete German CDTV keyboard and a non-yellowed US A3000 keyboard for less than the price of an average yellow A1200. They need a bit of cleaning though, but I'm not complaining :)
Just arrived. Now to find out what's wrong with it. CSMKII060.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-E...2/IMAG0599.jpghttps://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-I...2/IMAG0600.jpghttps://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-r...2/IMAG0601.jpghttps://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-U...2/IMAG0602.jpg
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-o...2/IMAG0604.jpg
Good luck Pink, remember CSMkII unlike other A4000 Accelerators needs the clock jumpers on the Mobo set to 'INT' many a user have not realised this and then the A4000 wont boot! :double
Thanks for the heads up. I've got a lot of reading up to do on it before it goes anywhere near the 4000. It was sold as non functional, so I've got to make sure that I have everything right to be able to eliminate basic configuration and OS issues.
First job for me is to clean it and inspect it. The CPU socket has been replaced at some point, and whilst it's not a bad job there are several potential dry joints. Cleaning it should give me a better view of the work that has been done.
It doesn't look like enough flux was used when the work was done and even the xtal doesn't seem particularly well soldered. It seems they err'd on the side of caution as there isn't any heat damage as far as I can tell (with my 40 odd year old eyes). A few scratches and exposed tracks but no substantial damage.
Thankfully I have the day off of work and nothing else planned particulary. I got all my immediate chores out of the way yesterday in the hope this would arrive today :)
@Pink - don't forget, we need pRoN!!!!
This just came in..

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...x54/LASER3.jpg
It's not the ordinary 'dot' laser, but a beam one. Sorry if the pics are a bit blurry, but i had to hold the laser with one hand and the camera with the other. This gadget will help me experiment in scanning 3D objects. :)
neat, what is your plan for that o'master craftsman?
i vote make it a dot, up the power then zap people in the leg with it.. :blased:
LOL, here's what i'm thinking: http://www.david-laserscanner.com/

There's far better -and rather far more retrolicious- ways to do that!!!:D:p

I bought myself a few books today.
Wanted to have this since highschool, and I've found this set for an absolute bottom price. It's the 1997 edition with yearbooks from 1997 to 2010, 43 volumes in total which use up about 2,5 meters of bookshelf :)
I finally snagged one of these beauties but it has a few issues. Got it at a right knock down price though so can't complain.
It didn't have a psu ( could do with some help on this over at http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=36196 ) and apparently there is a problem with the cart slot which I think is fixable.
Got one of these:
http://i1014.photobucket.com/albums/.../Amiga/kvm.jpg
4 port Video/USB KVM
So, I now have my work laptop for telework, my linux box, and my Amiga all using the same screen.
The only issue I had was power. It pulls power from USB, which my A1200 doesn't have..
But I have one of those USB wall-wart chargers, and I have it plugged into the power strip my A1200 is plugged into.
I flip on that switch, the Amiga 1200 powers up, the GBS-8200 powers up, and the KVM USB feed powers up.
My work laptop and home desktop share the monitor, mouse and keyboard.
My A1200 only shares the monitor.
Still, much nicer..
I suppose I could try a PS2/Amiga mouse adapter (with a USB plug) and share the mouse too...
But I kind of like my Amiga mouse. ;-)
And it's just to the side of the Amiga.
The PC mouse is just to the side of the PC keyboard in a sliding keyboard drawer underneath.
Works as good as I'd hoped.
(Well, for the 15 minutes I've used it so far.. But that's plenty for a thorough endorsement. ) ;-)
desiv
(Well, it will be much nicer when I route the cables. They are kind of just lying on top of the desk right now... Cable management is a lot of work. ) ;-)
Actually, my only "issue" is that the cables that came with it are pretty short. They reach what I need them to reach, but they aren't long. Maybe 3'???
Another one joins the family :)
I just sold 1 of 6 A500's yesterday, and all ready got another one... This is an obsession! It was sold with "ram expansion" but when I took a closer look this was no ordinary expansion. It's a MiniMax with 1MB of chipram via Gary chip  And maybe possible to expand further... I'll look into that. Also sold by first owner, and he has taken good care of it :)

CS MKII running at 72mhz :D

today i recived a box full of rxs 100 parts lol..
I bought them as a very un descriptive job lot. in the picture i could see the yamaha logo that goes under the head lamp (i needed 1 of those)
at least a partial carb "always usefull" and a strap to hold the battery. "needed one of those too"
box arrived full of goodies.
have a cdi and coil that i was not expecting but happy to find.
a side stand. Mine sux so will be good.
all kinds of linkages and leavers "break's gears"
yokes top n bottom. and the carb seems to be complete.
even have some rear shocks in here.
really happy with it actually as the whole lot with postage set me back about the same as a complete carb costs.
Oh and a spare silencer lol. "i knew it was the box of bits when it arrived as the silencer was sticking out of the side by about 8 inches.
probably going to have to sell most of it off now though. Money just cropped up and bit me in the butt. as my eldest daughter has argued with her mother "lives els where" and now wants to come live with us.
of course i said that's fine with me. so now i need to get all kinds of stuff for her to be able to stay like a bed and stuff like that..
i think i may end up having to sell my jasper 360 + steering wheel
Please dont ask about it, as i will try not to sell it at all. but if i do have to i will make a thread about it. so no messages please. "inbox is already 98% full and needs cleaning out"
Nothing major but at the weekend my archimedes mouse turned up :D .
The Clubday wasn't big, a defective A2000 for about just over a case of beer.
A small SCSI tower with some things, like a 4GB HDD and CDROM.
About a week ago, the Blizzard 2040, which is defective from GTEdward.
And just after that, as per a few posts back a Blizzard 1260 in working condition.
My Disk drive arrived from the other bay, along with some disks :D

Happy now as I can play C64 games at last, just need to fix my breadbin and somehow find a lever for my 1541 II
I just got my hand on my actual first computer, an Atari 800xl. It was still at my grandmother's house, in Zagreb, after all these years.
Here is my latest purchase... a Phoenix hard drive for my Amiga 500. I think it's a 20 MB drive and it needs a kickstart disk because it's not auto-booting. Why would I want to own this?? Well, I had one back in 1989 and just had to get it when I ran across it on ebay. These things are extremely rare.
I cleaned her up and she's working like a champ! I left the lid off for all to see...
I wasn't supposed to buy anymore Amiga stuff at the moment
But I spotted a GVP530 on eBay @BIN and had to snap it up as a companion for my a500+
Can't wait for it to come, I'm going to use the Classic Workbench pack with the 1.3 Theme to make it look retr0 and will use a SCSI-IDE bridge & CF to keep it quiet
Yes, I will share pics :thumbsup::thumbsup:
(when it arrives!)
Finally tracked down a Vectrex that wasn't an arm and a leg.
cosmetically not perfect, but it was a reasonable price.(***)
nice bright screen (i believe they did some refurb work on it so it wouldn't hum as much as well, cap replacements, etc)
plus a copy of Starhawk for it.
additionally a boxed copy of Ms. PacMan for the Atari 7800
Nice find SaviorX! I love my Vectrex. :D
I had to remove the price. Remember to not discuss prices, even in Roman Numerals.

Just picked this boxed C64 up locally, box is in great shape with polys too! Pity the T2 cartridge is missing and I've no tape deck for it :(
Haven't decided if I'm keeping it yet might look into getting some sort of memory card based loading system for it. Tapes put me right off tbh, last time I used a C64 was about 20 year ago I remember I used to love Fire Ant :)
I've got this little baby for my A4000 never ending project, it took me a while to find the correct one, seem to be rare as truffles :D
http://www.amibay.com/attachment.php...1&d=1351200962
Note: The goo is only residual glue from an sticker or some such, easy to remove.

Zenith Z-120
An S-100 bus MS-DOS system (but before that implied being a direct PC clone!) Mine isn't quite so clean and pretty as the photo, but it's in surprisingly good shape and just needs a little TLC to be working (I think one of the ICs came out of its socket.)
Now I just gotta find a boot disk...
I have finished installing as testing my new JiffyDOS chips I got from BasicWayne (a licensed dealer on eBay). A very worth while addition to the C64
Some new goodies came yesterday whilst I was at work
XBox 360 Wireless wheel + Games & Books :)

Nice haul, Steve! :)
I bet you're looking forward to some Forza goodness.;)
He he yeah indeed, maybe I can now challenge Justin on Forza 4!
Just done a few laps, it's tricky to get used to and the steering feedback is just weird!
I need to fix it to a desk though, on my lap is impossible - I came second from last against the CPU on hard Level :o (S Class) around Leguna Seca...
