nice steve ,the official xbox wheel is supposed to be the good one.
forza 4 ... think i have that, nope forza 3
Just downloading Windows 8 Pro. Bought a digital copy for 29.90 eur. Going to give it a try on my laptop. My rig will have to make do with Win 7 Pro.
Bought a ASUS laptop with i5 2450m CPU and got Win 8 Pro for ~15 €
via upgrade campaign.
Really happy with this computer playing X-com, syndicate and giana sisters on it (the reboots) a good bang for the buck.

Just about anything is an improvement over Vista.
I'm mostly curious, how heavily the new UI depends on touch screens and how annoying that will be in mouse use. That's one of the reasons why I'm installing it to my laptop only for now. If you prefer the good ole WIMPS look and feel, you could try to find a cheap Win7 Home Premium.
I've got a copy of Win8 already but I won't install it until I get my Leap Motion (hopefully in Feb - I've pre-ordered mine) as I don't see it making sense without a touch/motion control interface.

Got me a megachip a while back....Working today:thumbsup:
A word of advice: RTFM(properly) ! Soldering on JPa7 gives funny colors on the rev6 :picard
Licence to Kill disk for Amstrad CPC. Wow! That's my second original game for the CPC.
My Indivision AGA mk2 came today :D
I've fitted it to my A4000 and it all works great
Some vertical banding but that was expected.
Finally got a Sharp Plasma Cluster, we have been wanting one of these for ages and finally Amazon JP had a sale on a decent size model, so it arrived today, whoo hoo!
It`s a air purifier, but is on steroids ... so I am told.
My Assassin's Creed 3 arrived today! Going home now to play it. :D

More goodies, Donkey Kong Country 1,2 & 3 for the Snes, I think they might have even cost me less when I bought them second hand the first time!
Can't wait to play through them again on the real hardware though
Yep I took a back plate off an old gfx card and attached it to that :)
I am interested to try the custom vga cable made by jvdbossc to see if it fixes the banding issue.

i really recomend some extra springs and some foam under the break peddal to make it more reststive when breaking,
It took me quite a bit of trial and error. to get it just right. but it really neeeds a LOT more resistance which is also progressive. "the father you press the pedal the harder it is to push it"
but once thats been sorted out turn off abs. and practice for a while.
before i did that to mine i could not match my game pad times "not a shocker really as i have been playing forza since the 1st one" but after i set the pedals up just right then not only was i matching my times i was actually beating them by a lot.
One issue with the fix is you really have to figure out where the pedals will go.
i had them on a laminate floor stickied down with LOTS of super sticky double sided tape. "thats a really tough one to clean off the floor lol"
but like i said if you really really want to go as fast as you can with a wheel then you need to fix the break pedal and turn off abs.
i have found later you can actually get reall progressive springs for these pedals. i ended up using some from a RC car, which werent stiff enough and so i added that white packing foam stuff 2 which did the job.

Nice catch Steve! I really enjoyed the Donkey Kong Country series. The had great graphics on the SNES and they were great platformers. I played the original with my nephew. He said the graphics weren't very good (spoiled by growing up with better graphics), but he kept on playing the game and had fun.

Some Jap saturn games, posted from Japan... Arrived today, Only bought them a week ago.. With free green tea.
How can Japanese sellers send stuff to me quicker then a lot of uk ebayer's?

Also got 50 disk labels from someone else on otherbay, and a copy of Discover your Commodore 64, seeing as I've never had one before, I thought learning how to use it more then loading disk games might be an idea.
Just arrived :) just need the ACA500 to go with it! Thanks Jens and Amigakit for fast delivery:thumbsup:
Some new goodies \o/

Just need to prep up a CF card to use with a SCSI-IDE adapter
Would been cheaper and more practical to get the switchless mod done to a PAL model (if you have one) and then it would play any game from any region. Of course if this is the only Snes you have, you can get the same mod done to allow pal games to work on it too. It's an unbelievably good mod.
Alright Steve, isn't that like your 10th A530??? :o C'mon, share the love. :p

a few more additions came today, particularly Atari 2600 'stuff'
a Sears Video Arcade II (Sears A2600 'clone', same style case as a 7800)
an Atari 2600 'Vader' (my favorite 'style', the only one we had when we were younger (back in '85 when they bottomed out, and were practically being given away))
10 Atari 2600 Carts:
Adventures of TRON / Air-Sea Battle / Basketball / Blue Print / Commando
Gangster Alley / Ghostbusters / G.I. Joe / Outlaw / Pigs In Space
2 Commodore 64 Carts: Frogger and a Mach128 Cart
additionally a 7800 cart...Crossbow
Ah! I thought you had a bunch of A500 sidecars. :)
Heather
I'm just jealous of his retro deal radar. :)
Heather
Yeah I bet most people do, well speaking of sidecars, I added this one also thanks to Oldman1000.

Really a NOS kit, it was like coming back from a Commodore reseller with a brand new one :-D
A couple of weeks ago I received a box filled with Dutch newspapers (see picture). Oh, and there was also an A1200 in there somewhere..
Today (yesterday) I then received an ACA1232 and hopefully they will be a good match. :)
Yes, that's where my box went !! :D
J/k ... nice find
Got these from the carboot sale... I had a Vtec Precomputer1000 when i was a kid so this is really nostalgic for me and it works.
The Tamagotchi connection also works fine :)
EDIT
I got an A600 motherboard rev 2D from tlosm to replace my partially broken one. Grazie mille!
Turned up yesterday, I've now got myself an ACA620 and an Indivision ECS.
I also got another CF card and CF <-> IDE adaptor.
Put ClassicWB on the CF card, got the ACA620 installed and the Indi last night, just got to chuck all the games on the CF card, looks like a job for tonight, after work :)
this popped through the letterbox today: Super Mario RPG, converted to PAL with a homemade label - pretty chuffed as it was xxxx delivered, loads cheaper than buying the US version at the mo.
