Andy, that's a real lucky catch you got there! :) Yes, the AD1012 is a sound card, and a mighty good one at it! I hope you got the accompanying software too, them folks at Sunrize did great job on the Studio program!!
Since I repaired my ColecoVision, I ordered the AtariMax ColecoVision Multi-Cart. It arrived yesterday!!! The great news is that it works just fine with Windows 7 and the cart is dead simple to use.

@AndyLandy Are you going for a complete setup for the A2000? It's nice what you've sourced... I don't tend to fill it up and expand it at all, since I am only after the end product expanded=A4000, I like amiga a lot, but one main machine, one legacy machine = STOP
I have a local contact in need of cash, he has a lot of A2000 cards so if you need anything willing to negotiate a little... Of course reasonable pricing:D He did not show up overhere or anywhere else...:):thumbsup: (no internet)
I am going to hijack this post, but I woul'd like the front and the back of that "claimed" flat panel monitor that you've got.. i like yiamha a lot, but I am using old scool trinitron technology= it does not work with amiga, only some modes..

I did not fit it yet, since I own the jiffy dos already for long time, I only asked the kernal rom orginal, jiffydos modded with my short name jvdbossc (maching lenght) and autoboot for position 3..

it is OK Heather, it feels like Zelda for the Gameboy which is a win on it's own :thumbsup: the game is supposed to be a tribute to old rpg's , and it is! All the retro-feeling is there, even the chiptun-ish music! Also inside are a LOT of references to other old rpg's too :lol: (you meet some folks that appear to say random stuff ... but not so random :lol: )Quote:

It's a Mac IIsi, a slightly udpated version of the IIcx, the first computer I ever used. Lots of nostalgy goodness here. I'm in the middle of wiping and reinstalling at the moment, but I just had to take a picture :)

This is my Amiga 500, received from a very generous fellow in Colorado who required me to pay shipping via GunPal :p You meet all kinds of interesting people on the Internet... The only upgrade to the Amiga itself is the Kickstart 3.1 ROM.

These are the upgrades. The Supra Hard Disk + RAM came with 8MB of fast RAM installed and has an 800MB SCSI disk I had laying around (shouldn't be running out of space any time soon!) The Supra Turbo 28 isn't the most powerful accelerator out there; it's only a 68000 and can only cache from fast RAM, but it's easy to install and works reliably with almost everything I've tried. (And with 8MB of fast RAM, it really does make a noticeable difference.)

The Hard Disk + RAM upgrade generally requires a separate power supply, but the fellow I got mine from didn't have it (I think it died on him, but I can't recall.) So he hacked up a Molex connector to the power socket. Luckily, I have a number of old, broken computers laying around my garage, and one of them had a power supply with a built-in on/off switch. It ain't pretty, but it works.

I've also been collecting some reference books, as I love to dabble with programming old systems. Still working my way through the ROM Kernel manuals, but they're surprisingly well-written, so it's pretty easy going.
And that's it! I hope to get a CD-ROM drive to add to the setup, eventually, but for now this is everything I was hoping for. Thanks to all who helped me put this thing together :)

I got some luck over the weekend and spotted a "Spares or Repair" 1084S Monitor in a second hand shop for £1. Expecting it to be broken I tested it and, well, see for yourself in the pictures. :D
It had an older sticker saying "working but end nut missing". No idea what the hell it means but the only issue I got with it was the bloody electric shocks I got when I carried it after testing. It's from the headphone port so I put some PVC tape over it for now and it's fine. Oh and it's a bit yellow sadly.
I'll have to look into some sort of grounding to stop that.
Also gone a bit Mac crazy recently and am waiting to recive a Mac II and IIFX though these where sold "as is" but I got it cheap enough anyway. :)

Hah, I did exactly the same funny enough r0jaws, I am actually replenishing my PS1 collection with nicer condition examples and not plat. examples. I picked up Command and Conquer, Tommi Mäkinen Rally, Tekken 3 and V-Rally. :) so cheap too, now is a real good time to collect them before people catch on that they are getting harder to find.

Picked up a free Mac Performa 5300 yesterday. It works but won't boot - probably a faulty harddrive (I can hear it making noise, but I think it's completely jammed). I'll have to find a copy of some old MacOS (8 or 9) and a harddrive and then see if it can be rescued.
Now I only need to clean out my hobby room and make some space for it. Until that time I'm using it as a footstool under my desk :mrgreen:
