Underneath is an old Akai amplifier, I run the Amiga audio through it. I'm thinking of getting a MIDI interface to connect the groovebox to the Amiga so I can fiddle around with Octamed. But first I'll just start learning how the whole thing works, and maybe record something either on my PC, or really oldschool on my Tascam 4-track cassette recorder (see picture) :)

Picked up my Legend of Zelda 3DS XL System plus a retail version of the new game during lunch! The 3DS XL even came with a power adapter. :lol:

I loved my LaserDiscs, but they were all sold when DVDs came out. I also had the huge 9 Disc Star Wars CAV box that I purchased new. A friend of mine owned a purchased VHS of Akira that didn't have very good quality so I made a copy for him from my LaserDisc. The copy totally blew away the original's quality. :)

I'd get one again, but I just don't have the room for all those discs! Still, a nice haul you got.

I just got an Email from Lotherek as he was shocked I received the parcel in only 2 days!

The interface is very cool, I love the Angry Space Invader and that the LED's light up as a little joystick tester.

I was just going to buy the Interface as my Turbo has developed a fault but I though since there was a new DivIDE out which is more compact just to buy that too :cool:

Will be fetching this PS2 store unit this evening locally.

picked up a later model c64. Never had a late model. My fave was the 83/84 era one I had before it died.

this one has a fancy shield and tacky spots to hold the shield to the chips... and its a rev4!

came with a bunch of disks (mostly spreadsheet and business stuff), one of those funky corner joysticks that attaches to the corner of the c64 with a tiny thumbstick + button... and a random loadstar double disk #55 pack.

received my second technics sa-ex100 not to long ago..

i am now running two technics sb-f90's from one of them, and 2 jamos laser powers from the other one.
same signal in and they run at the same time.

i put the jamos on top of the technics so left is 1 jamo 1 technics and the same for the right.

i really like the set up. each cabinet gets 80w of power and i have more controll over the over all sound.
But i think the thing i like the most now is the amount of air i can move with out pushing the amps hard and getting distortion. :thumbsup:

Thanks. My Supergun is the MAK Strike. Which one do you have ?

All I know is it's Supergun MkIV, bought from eBay. The person buying it for me didn't want to buy from unknown retailers.

I'm really happy with it though, it's not as expandable as yours but it works great, sound and picture are amazing ans the controls are responsive and all work perfect too :)

Yes it does look very well built. I notice though that it only has one joystick input am I right ? Still awesome setup you have there.

I have a problem of white noise / buzzing from mine. Don't know if its the Supergun or the old RGB Scart cable I happened to have lying about in my wires box.

Yeah it's really sturdy built, the second controller port is on the side so yeah I can use a second stick/pad, in fact in the Video you can see I test the second port too.

Definitely try another Scart lead, you can get nice quality ones quite cheap now. I saw some really expense fat gold ones at a boot sale going quite cheap, I regret not buying now!

Yep noticed the other port in your video. I'll check out getting a good quality rgb scart cable as mine looks and feels cheap n nasty.

Finally got an Atari 7800. The machine is very clean and solid -- it's has a nice feel. It's a shame there weren't more titles for 7800 -- but hey it runs 2600 games also. Growing up I had a 2600. From what I understand the 7800 was set to be released just as the game market crashed in '84 and wasn't released until '86. The proprietary power connector means it's hard to get a power supply -- but luckily this came with one. IMO one of the best Atari 7800 games was Scrap Yard Dog - Of course the Winter Games were also good.

i enjoy my 7800 also, its great that you can play 99.9% of 2600 titles, and the 7800 versions of most games are very close to (if not entirely) arcade quality.

i have 18 7800 games (there was about 58 titles released, plus something like 27 'aftermarket' games)...but they have a tendency to be a little more 'uncommon'

Ok, so I got one of those cheap Gonbes 8200 based CGA/EGA/RGBS boards -- the act as a scan doubler to use the Amiga on a standard LCD screen. I tried the VGA/RGBH connection with my standards 23-15 amiga adapter -- no luck with my A1200. In then tried the Gonbes RGBS 9 pin connector with the same 23-15 adapter -- only green screen. I then found an old 23-9 pin Amiga 1080 cable. I put the wires directly into the female 9 pin end of the cable (red, green, blue, and sync) and it worked!

I was amazed at how clear my Workbench screen was. Very impressive for the cost. Next I loaded a game and there is much noise :(. I'm guessing it's something to do with the resolution change -- the board seems to like my workbench screen which is about 640x480 but the games not so much. The refresh rate should be the same on both.

So the board has limited use but is a neat idea. If you try it I believe you cannot use those 23-15 VGA adapters -- you'll need to find yourself a cable that does not contain whatever IC/resistors they have in them.

I was considering building a little case for the unit using Legos.

I went through close to two weeks of irritating frol-de-rol with a pointlessly dishonest seller who claimed it used to belong to his deceased uncle and offered it to me in response to an ad I had in the paper, said he'd call me back to establish a time for me to inspect it/pick it up, failed to call me, said that he'd accidentally dropped it and it wouldn't power on so I probably wouldn't be interested the one other time I managed to get ahold of him, said he'd call me back when I told him I was still interested, and then dropped out of contact completely, before walking into my local Music-Go-Round on Black Friday to see if they had any deals and finding it sitting there pretty as you please with no evidence of any dropping or any issues at all besides dirty sliders and a wiring fault in the sustain/swell pedal - and a price tag more than twice what he'd asked for from me. And the hell of it is, based on what they've told me about their resale pricing, he probably got maybe $10 more than his initial price, which I would gladly have given him all along had he asked. On top of which, they knew the guy and said he makes a living cleaning out vacated buildings, so he probably wasn't even telling the truth about his "uncle!" Oy. Some people... :dry:

Anyway, it's a sweet '70s string/ensemble keyboard like my Hohner String Performer, but less soft/lush Oxygène on the strings and more crisp "Watcher of the Skies." On top of which it's got a brass section with a genuine Moog filter, which is awesome all by itself. Great sounds. Bit of a beast to cart around, though, it weighs probably close to 50 lbs.!

I got myself an early Christmas present. A Raspberry Pi Model B, casing, SD card and PSU. :)

I've got two purposes for it. Mainly a media streamer that can be remote controlled with an Android pad and secondly a small web server for my projects.

congrats, i love the pi. However, wish they made an updated version with a tad more oomph in the same package. right now it is just enough, should have been abundance.

I got a freebee for the ps2. Not every cover had the content but free is free. (is this price driving?)

Some good PS2 titles there - Black is an excellent game as is The Godfather - both the GTA Games speak for themselves - the Max Payne Games are worth a play - I thought they were pretty good!

More or less an MT-32 in a keyboard (there's some differences with the PCM sounds, but it's otherwise the same basic guts.) I'm in favor of this, because I like keyboards more than I like modules (more hands-on - especially compared to a black box like the MT-32.) Traded my V50 for this (the V50 is a lovely keyboard, but I just haven't been using it at all since I got my DX7.) Needed a pretty deep cleaning on the key contacts and panel switches, but it's in good shape now :)

Look what arrived in the post today! Lets waste no time with this :)

A fresh install of OS 3.9 and plonk on the usb stack and the thylacine.device. Amazing - booted up straight away and performed flawlessly on usb mice, keyboards, flash drives, hard disks, dvd rom drives, sound bars, in fact I ran out of things to test it with. The only thing workbench didn't seem to like was the iPhone - not that im going to be syncing that with my A4000 anytime soon.

Stunning! Get one! Hats off to @Genny_Flick :thumbsup:
