A1200 Falcon 1240@40Mhz + 128MB RAM

Hello my fellow AmiBay'ers

I have decided to treat my wife for our 10th anniversary so I am selling some thing back to the community.

Here is my Falcon 1240 Accelerator with an MC68040@33 clocked at 40Mhz, I will also include the original XC040@25 Mhz and a 50Mhz Crystal.

This amazing accelerator has had its photo's taken for Amiga Format Magazine so she is a bit of a celebrity.

this card is upgradeable to an 060 with the addition of a 3.3v power regulator board and selecting jumpers on the card.

Sadly I cannot find any information on this, but it should be simple enough to buzz out the regulator pattern ;)

This adapter also comes with a 60ns 128MB SIMM and can be yours for the princely sum of £195 + postage (paypal fees)

The Falcon also has Fast SCSI 2 (DMA) onboard, which will achieve upto 8MB a second with very little CPU load, however you will need a passive adapter to access it.

A note to mention is that this adapter is very power hungry, I recommend a good quality power supply for its use.

What's an passive adapter for the SCSI interface? is it DIY or do you have to buy it?

the SCSI interface on the Falcon card requires a small adapter card that breaks out to a 25 or 50pin SCSI adapter with terminator resistors. I had planned on building one but my time is so short lately and the fact that while this card is a beauty, I wont get to use it, and the little green guy I got the adapter from I promised I would put it to use...

So you will have to carry that torch =)

I have to admit, I never tire of seeing 128MB, other memory in workbench... =)

well I tell you what my friend, I will buzz out the connector and write up a schematic this weekend for you (and everyone else) LOL!

Thanks again for being patient, i was going to order an 1231-42 today from ggs-data but they were just out of stock now, he had them in last month, then i come to see Amibay is back :D and this was for sale so two strokes of good luck in a day.
If i should, god forbid change my mind i will of course let u know immediatly.
And if i end up with this beauty i promise i will treat her absolutly sovereign :)

I am interesting second in line for this accelerator if Imaga_050 changes his mind:)
