well A500+ seems to be pretty common all of a sudden and for some reason amazingly cheap
so here is the start of mine, cleaned, and battery removed ready for the upgrading to start:)
and my god these things are HUGE!! cor what a whopper, jeez look at the size of it! am i compensating? :lol:

It's certainly cleaner than mine.
Both mine have got battery damage. One of them is quite bad :double

yes the A500+ does seem to be really prone to battery leakage, and if not removed in time the damage can be very severe! :(

50-pin scsi to 25pin centronics cable should work nicely. Not sure if you'll need a terminator though.

Great A500+ Justin! It's a lot like the setup I had in 1992! The A500+ is definitely rare in the USA but the only thing it's really got going for it is the extra Chip RAM. Of course, the A500 didn't come with a built-in clock so there is no battery on the motherboard to cause trouble.
Some nice stuff though!

wow what a nightmare i have had so far but still at least i have made some more progress:thumbsup:
after trying many hard drives and adaptors i have finally found a drive that works!! (have you guys tried finding a 50 pin scsi drive on the other bay? crikey that is frightening!!)
anyhoo i got a 18gb 50 pin IBM drive and at last i have an installed and booting workbench! yay!
also put a 68010 in so i can quit out of whdload games

For Asim CDFS, I do not know... I Never use something else than standard cache CDFS as it works well enough for me.

i used ASIMCDFS V3.7 and it was a breeze to install, and now i have access to CDs:thumbsup:

but i had a 120mb harddrive and no 68010
but my hd8+ is in another country now
