SOLD: A600HD NTSC
As I have recently been able to get my hands on an accelerated A600, I now no longer need my A600HD that I got on Fleabay. There are a few minor issues with the machine that I will list here.
1. The original floppy died, it has been replaced with drive that was given to me by video lab, the local Amiga repair shop. The button for the replacement drive has been shaped down (poorly by me, I will admit) to fit through the eject button hole. The drive is a 3rd party HD drive.
2. Either before being shipped or while being shipped one of the screw holes for the floppy drive was stripped, resulting in the drive not ejecting disks. I fixed this the only way I know how, which I am told was the wrong way, sadly hindsight is 20/20 please see attached pictures for a better visual explanation.
3. For some reason the 1 key on the keyboard doesn't always work. I don't know how to diagnose the problem let alone fix this, just that sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
4. The heat shield has been removed. This was because originally it had an A603 Memory expansion in it. Now, it has the expansion that came with my new A600. I don't know what it is, so I attached a picture below. (I do still have the heat shield and am willing to ship it with the machine if wanted)
The machine has the original box, the three manuals that came with it (all of which were in poor shape when I received them), mouse, power supply, the original slow 40MB hard drive with the software that was installed on it when I got it still there, and the workbench disks with backups that came with the machine. Everything is yellow, as I would expect for the age of the machine, some parts are more yellow than others though. Everything that was in the A600HD box when I received it will be shipped out with this machine. If you have any questions or need pictures of specific parts, please let me know and I will do my best to furnish them asap. The asking price for the machine is $50 USD plus shipping. Please note that the only method I have for payment at this time is Paypal. Thank you for taking a look.

Re: FS: A600HD NTSC
Sorry, we just finished working out the deal and I have it packed. Just need to take it down to the UPS office and post it. I think I have missed the office hours for the night but I will try and get it done tonight. Otherwise, it will ship out tomorrow.

Re: SOLD: A600HD NTSC
@desiv - I'll keep my eyes peeled for more. Apparently they are more common in Canada, and Quarkx (I think that's his screen name here) finds them on occasion. You might ask him he might be able to help you. He's whom I bought my replacement A3000D from when the one I bought on Evil-Bay was toasted when I got it.

Re: SOLD: A600HD NTSC
Thanx..
I just got my 500 a few weeks ago. Getting into that again, and it's fun. But using floppies.
I was thinking of getting a HD for it, but it seems like it will cost less to get a 600 than an A500 HD. So I started thinking about the 600.
Actually, I think I would prefer a 1200 (I used to own a 500, and then a 1200), but they are pretty rare here, and usually go for more than I'm willing to spend at this time.
I'm actually still monochrome right now, but my 520 just arrived at my house!
Unfortunately, we're in the process of moving, and I'm not at that house, so I'll be monochrome for another night.
Actually, my 500 has 2 drives, so its not too bad. But I had forgotten how tight the WB disk was, and I'm too rusty to know which files I can delete and still have a usable WB.
I used to have a Dataflyer for my 500. Funny, I can't remember how big (or small) the hard drives were in my Amigas, but I thought they were huge at the time. :-)

Re: SOLD: A600HD NTSC
Yeah, huge as only 20 or 40Mb can be... Those not-so-good old times...
