Looks good, i am assuming that the floppy 34 pin connector won't go in with the board in place ? it looks like if i slide the 4 mem chips and controller chip down 1 inch then that should give clearance to allow the 34 pin floppy cable to be mounted to the board and be able to be plugged into the floppy drive.

Yep that's exactly right, other than not being able to connect the floppy cable the board fits.

I'm going to see if I can fit my XL HD Floppy drive from my A1200T into the A1000 as that would sit higher & has an adapter board!
