not sure to what "this" is referring to in the original question. You can use trapdoor ram with the 8mb board if that is what you mean ? if you are talking about a 1mb modded motherboard then it should work, the memory address should not conflict, but only one way to find out for sure :)

Time for another update.


Everyone up to post #54 should have had an email request from me stating that their boards were either ready to be mailed OR, that if they wanted an A500 Rev5.xx fastmem board then they would be put on priority hold until i get the a500 rev5 boards in. if i missed you in the posts, i apologise and make a post in this thread and i'll get your orders done in next 2 days.

Please remember i am also receiving requests via my webpage requests and eab and am plodding along as fast as i can. I still haven't had full confirmation that the Rev6 A500 board will fit inside a CDTV and am wary of mailing the A500 Rev6 board to someone who wants it for the CDTV. I have asked a couple of people to try it for me but haven't received a response yet.

for the person that asked, mailing costs to the Western pacific regions, (Aus, NZ etc) are $9.75. Sorry for not checking pms, so much to do and not enough time, i am trying to put all answers in the thread so as not to repeat same answers repeatedly.

I ordered the A1000 CPU adapter boards so they should be ready to go in about 10 - 14 days. The Rev5 A500 boards are sitting in Thunder Bay waiting for me to get there next weekend.

I just had a look at the template for the adapter, I'm 99.9% sure it will be fine however the print out was slightly smaller than actual size, my thinking is that just allows more room ;)

Order is in, it should be in my hands on Wed 5th Sept, so be ready for mailing on the following monday :)

Any plans on making another revision that fits the A1000 too? Rather not use an adaptor board.

I think the adapter will come in handy when other boards are made for the a500. Like an accelerator or ide.
