A600 4mb and A500 4mb/8mb fastmem Expansion boards

Hi All,

Travelling to Thunder Bay over the weekend so i will not be mailing anything now until probably Mon or Tues. Good news is i am on holiday so i should be able to up gears a little :)

I am happy to buy a cdtv/a500 board (see my earlier interest). Once I receive, I will confirm whether it works or not with the CDTV.

Time for another update.


Everyone up to post #54 should have had an email request from me stating that their boards were either ready to be mailed OR, that if they wanted an A500 Rev5.xx fastmem board then they would be put on priority hold until i get the a500 rev5 boards in. if i missed you in the posts, i apologise and make a post in this thread and i'll get your orders done in next 2 days.

Please remember i am also receiving requests via my webpage requests and eab and am plodding along as fast as i can. I still haven't had full confirmation that the Rev6 A500 board will fit inside a CDTV and am wary of mailing the A500 Rev6 board to someone who wants it for the CDTV. I have asked a couple of people to try it for me but haven't received a response yet.

for the person that asked, mailing costs to the Western pacific regions, (Aus, NZ etc) are $9.75. Sorry for not checking pms, so much to do and not enough time, i am trying to put all answers in the thread so as not to repeat same answers repeatedly.

Anyone having any issues installing this on a Rev 8 MB? I see there is a large capacitor in the way preventing this to be installed on my A500+ MB. Too bad.

There was a cap in the way on my rev6a board too and I just gently bent it over.

you should be able to cut one leg, bend the cap flat, and solder a piece of wire to it. take a pic, i may be able to help you.
