Good one, I totally forgot that :wink:

@Astral
I have the same problem when I have my A590 (with or without RAM installed) and the A508 board plugged in at the same time.
There's probably an address conflict with that A500 expansion port and addressing 8MB of RAM.
Has anyone tried running the A504 with an A590 (with or without RAM) or A570 with success?
Now if only I had some way of throwing a CF card in my A500, I could sell off the A590. :D
Cheers,
ck
@astral
I just ran SysConfig with my A508 installed and noticed the board address is $200000. This is the same addresses that was used by my A590 so that explains whys A590 doesn't work with the A508 installed.
Cheers,
ck
Hi kipper,
I found this among the schematics for the CDTV
Hope it helps.
Arnie.
Got my a504 and S-Video adapter today Kipper and they work great, much appreciated and feedback has been left. :)
Any1 knows when kipper will be back ? As I said I would hate to be the first to post bad feedback, but it has been almost a month without ANY feedback to my A600 8Mb expansion not working properly...
Knowing hes away any unable to respond then posting bad feedback is hardly fair is it??
Have you tried sending him a PM as well? Brian's a straight up honest guy, he will sort this out my friend. I realise you have waited almost a month but real life can get in the way sometimes, kipper will sort it out because hes a decent person :thumbsup::)
Here's what you wrote
"I have received the shipment and tried it out yesterday evening. It seems to work, but I seem to be having problems with 8Mb configuration.
When I select the 4Mb configuration everything works fine - All WHDLoad games that I have work perfectly well without ANY problems.
When I select the 8Mb configuration with dip switches then about 20% of the installs report 800000B error (i understand this means the program is accesing the odd addresses) - this is regardless of how the games are loaded. The games load fine under 8Mb in WinUAE identical configuration !
Both memcheck and checkmembh programs say the ram is OK - no errors found.
Also note that the PCMCIA slot is EMPTY and it doesn't interfere with the ram.
This happens whatever I do - I re-seated the memory expansion, etc. and every time I get the same results. I tried booting without startup sequence and the same happens.
Here is a link to three of the installs that do this. NOTE: You must use the preload switch so whdload loads all files i.e. :
whdload cadaver.slave preload
whdload anotherworld.slave preload
whdload stellar7.slave preload
I tried using whdload 16 and 17 - both have the same problem.

I did reply to you on this issue,
If the memory is passing the Memory checks then i do not know what the issue can be. There may be timing issues that are affecting this. If you are not happy with it then mail it back to me and i will refund you.
