a1000 adapter board

Hi All,

I received the A1000 adapter parts to allow the (REV 6) a500 fastmem board to fit in an A1000 without interfering with the floppy drive. Below are some pics. Price is a little higher than i forecast so they will be $9.00. The board has a narrow left hand edge so it should be good for a IDE68k board to sit underneath and stll be accessible, but not sure

I got my A600 4mb board over a week ago but it is only until today I have been able to install it on my A600.

And it is totally awesome, many thanks for this very elegant solution for my whdload mini Amiga machine :thumbsup:

Here is a pic of what i have been up to... you can see the indi ECS installed and also i have laid out the Rev6 mem board where it will sit on ALL versions of the A500 (once i get the adapter board).

If you look close enough you will see the IDE68k mounted directly underneath the CPU on my board (Ignore the CPU sitting in the original slot), that will not be there once i receive the adapter board that will connect the original CPU slot to the CPU slot on the fastmem board later this week.

I still have to test the iDe68k, so much to do, so little time :(

Edit, just thought i'd mention, there is one capacitor which gets in the way, it may bend over on some boards, if it doesnt then do as i done, cut one leg close to the board, bend the cap over and then solder a piece of wire to reconnect the cut leg to the board, nice and simple :)
