Micronik Scandex external scandoubler

Now that I got myself a new scandoubler/flickerfixer, I can sell my trusty Micronik Scandex. Here are the features:

Supports all Amiga models using standard 23-pin RGB connector
Scan-doubles all 15 KHz screen modes (other modes are passed through)
Supports AGA chipset
Provides standard HD15 VGA port for easy connection to standard VGA monitors and LCD TVs

Please note: this is a scandoubler only, not a flicker-fixer!

It works great on CRT VGA monitors!
Some TFT LCD monitors will not display PAL screenmodes, but NTSC should work OK. The quality of the display will depend on the monitor and its ability to process and scale scandoubler's output. The display was pretty good on my Samsung MW940 19" LCD, but my Asus MK221H 22" LCD showed some vertical bars (see photo of PAL startup screen).

I am really not sure whether this is ECS or AGA. Amiga hardware database says it supports AGA, so I copied this to the description.

Before the war, there were a lot of Amiga users in ex-Yugoslavia. Most of us had A500s, and few lucky ones had A2000s. Most users were gamers, with few coders starting a demo scene.

The war in Bosnia started in 1992 and ended in 1995. By this time the Commodore was gone, so we missed the whole AGA generation. As a result there are only handful of AGA machines (A1200s) in Bosnia, most of which were imported for basic video production.

Things are better now, but since the war ended with no winners, it continued through politics. Unfortunately, people here are not smart enough to choose politicians who would put the war behind us.
