FB-357A A4000 floppy drive, Philips CM8833-II monitor
I have the following items:
A Chinon FB-357A floppy drive, the larger of the two high density units commonly fitted to the A4000. This drive is FAULTY and i will do my best to explain it...
The eject button is broken, its loose and falls off, seems one of the bits of plastic meant to hold it in place has snapped off... Could probably be glued back on or replaced.
The drive seems unable to read any floppies, either HD or DD... Not sure why, have tried a floppy drive head cleaner to no effect.... Any disks inserted show up as DF0: UNREADABLE or DF0: ?????, the disks work fine in another drive.
When attempting to format a blank disk in this drive, it gets to about track 40 and then fails...
This drive is free to a good home, providing the recipient pay any p&p costs etc, or you may collect from the HA6 postcode area.
The second item is a Philips CM8833-II monitor, you can see pictures of it at http://www.firenzee.com/cm8833/
The pictures were taken in june connected to an A3000 and fully working, and i will test the monitor again before i part with it.
There is some minor cosmetic damage not really visible in the photos, a few minor scuffs and scratches to the case. Also the folding piece of plastic that forms a stand at the back is missing. I'm pretty sure i have this somewhere but cannot find it. If i find it, i will of course send it on.
This monitor is fully working, although the power button seems a bit stiff (apparently a common condition with these monitors). I will also include the RGB cable for connection to the standard 23pin video output of most Amiga models.
This is also free for anyone willing to collect, don't really want to go to the trouble of shipping it. I need the space so it will get thrown out if noone takes it.
