Symbios Logic 53C770 chips (for CSPPC)

I have a Cyberstorm PPC with a broken SCSI-chip, and to fix it I had to source new chips, it turned out that
this is a very uncommon chip, basically just used in CSPPC and some hardware RAID controllers.
Symbios logic stopped production of these years ago too.


After contact with that french guy it seem to be a pretty common problem with the CSPPC :( ..and he
could not get any new chips.

I started to look myself, and when I *FINALLY* found a source for those chips after a few years I had to buy
several of them, and I only need one.

However, these chips have some legs bent, but it is fixable, I already fixed one of them :) ..and I will
post pics of it on request.. If I have the time and mood I will fix more of them, its just bent, not crushed.

The price is 300SEK plus shipping each for them, that is around 30EUR.

Maybe some peepz like Stachu might be interested on this cause indeed they are rare folks!

Indeed, 53C770 are quite rare.
But I managed to buy server SCSI controller with 2 (or 3, don't rememeber now) of these IC's. :)

If I can not find this chip and put it on my CSPPC, I think I'd sell my card as it is now. I don't have a good skill level & equipment to weld the 160 small pins one by one :D

I have lot of old spare SCSI controllers. I need to check, but maybe someone have this chip on board... I don't know.

If I find one whit this chip (and if you want, of course) I can offer to you for free (only shipping costs) and you can send to Stachu, Cosmos, or other "HQ AmiMasters" to repair your CSPPC...
